As a huge Jaguar fan, I feel as though a little piece of me just died. One of the first NLF memories I'll always have is the catch Jimmy Smith made in the back of the endzone at Mile High Stadium in Jacksonville's improbable playoff run in 1996. Here's hoping that Matt Jones can effectively fill Jimmy's shoes. He's got a big role to fill.

It is sad to see Jimmie go. The guy was still productive last year. He'd have been productive as long as he played, but as a big Matt Jones fan, I can't say I'm sad to see him go. MJ has a good - very good - chance to be the Jags' No. 1 guy next year. He was tearing it up before Leftwich got hurt, so here's to hoping that chemistry will remain the same and even be taken to a different level next year.
