What do you think?Looks pretty good. Three SEC teams in the top 10; LSU, Auburn, and Florida, and I will geaux with that.

Notre Dame is ranked too high, I think. And the absence of Tennessee in the top 25 may come back to bite them in the butt. Right now, the Vols are a mystery, one that could wreak havoc on teams who take them too lightly.

I like seeing South Carolina ranked at #22, ahead of #25 Alabama. The day of the Visor is coming!

Preseason polls are no better than people's opinions in here. It is good to see 6 SEC teams in there but what does it really mean? If they were going to be truly fair it should have been 7 because UT should have been listed in there somewhere.

I like it to. We are getting no respect just like last year. Thats fine. About the only thing these preseason polls get right is the usually obvious Top 3 anyway.

I'm surprised there's no bama meltdown from this....

I'm fine with Bama being overlooked, as I see us having a similar 'rebuilding' year like Auburn's 'rebuilding' year in 2005. 9-10 wins with a victory in Iron Bowl won't bother me in the least bit.

Oh MAtt! You won't be fine. The Day of the thumb is nigh!

I personally think that both TN and Bama should be ahead of SC. Not because I want to be overlooked. I just think those teams are a little bit better. And I for one am glad Bama is no longer on our schedule and the game I'm the most curious about next year is TN vs SC.

Barner94, it is going to be hilarious watching the meltdown from you Barners when Bama sticks that thumb up Wingnut's butt.

i think we're ranked about right. we still have no idea how john parker wilson will perform against SEC defenses. we lost 3/4 starters on secondary and 2/3 on the linebacking corp, but i'm really not worried about our defense cause we have joe kines. the big ? would have to be QB and OL play.

That was funny but I'm thinking the other way....
Another one or two losses to us and you won't be able to get a straight pin up Shula's butt much less a thumb....

The only mention that a thumb will get in reference to wingnut after the iron bowl this season will be the fact that he will add his thumb to the 4 fingers he held up after last year's Iron bowl

think about the players kines had to use for the past 3 years. i think everyone could agree the past 3 years alabama fielded a team with less talent than other top SEC schools. there was no star-studded recruit on this past year's senior class other than brodie, yet our defense was in the top 5 in every category. now, our talent pool has started to come back up again. the talent being closer to even we'll finally see what kines can do.

almost every category, you were 9th in run defense

Nooga, if I were you I would worry about Bama coming to Knoxville and not about what Bama will do with Wingnut's thumb this year.

I'm sure you worked very hard to find a stat where we are only in the Top 10. Nice job of shoving that down our throats. :closedeye
