I am only the messenger on this one. I am not making any claims or editorials here. I am also not saying this claim is true but, it is in print and I thought some might like to read it. With that understood:
Daly doubles down interest in his new book
By John Brasier
Anderson Independent-Mail
May 3, 2006
Playing Thursday morning quarterback and hoping to get staked into a Texas Hold’Em game with John Daly at this weekend’s Wachovia Championship in Charlotte. ...
We already knew Big John liked to eat, drink and be married to excess. Now comes his revelation that he blew $50-to-$60 million gambling over the last 15 years? The guess here is he may have exaggerated to try to recoup some losses through sales of his new book, which goes on sale Monday. ...
Want the scoop on the VIPs-only portable toilets on the grounds at last weekend’s Nationwide Tour event at Cliffs Valley? Got it for you through a reporter’s late-night stop on the way to his car.
They were the same old smelly variety you’d find at a construction site. No cloth towels. No sanitized combs or free mints. The exclusive toilets generated a few snickers from the common folk. After all, the Green Jackets at Augusta use the same outdoor facilities as everyone else. ...
Brett Hull said he doesn’t miss playing pro hockey but enjoys watching it. "The rules are great,’’ said the 41-year-old Hull, who scored 86 goals in 1990-91, of the more wide-open, post-lockout NHL.
On to college football, where the Clemson coaching staff is perturbed about an alleged last-minute recruiting heist Florida tried to pull with CJ Spiller, who signed with the Tigers anyway.
As the story goes, Florida sent one of its top players on a lengthy drive to see Spiller and keep him busy on the eve of signing day. If the story is true, Florida could be in for some trouble with the NCAA. ...

 :drehkopf: :yelrotflm
Some lengthy drive...Spiller is from Lake Butler...which is about 10 miles north of Gainesville  ...the recruit you are speaking of, Tim Tebow, was in Gainesville enrolled for Spring classes at the time and Spiller was quoted saying HE planned on going to Gainesville the weekend before NSD to hang-out with his good friend, TT....where did you get this information...obviously not from a credible source...
BTW, it's not an NCAA violation for an unsigned player or signed player for that matter, to visit another recruit.

I saw that on the Gator site Geechee and there is always trouble from an ACC school!!!!!!First place the head ball coach is a bowden !!That is never a great thing ask Auburn . Why I wonder is this just coming out now is it the bowden SR needs to find a way to buy a win some way against us. That is why the cocks got to beat the heck out of the bowden bungles!! Cause we will still beat the criminoles and go 2-0 in bowen field.

Here we go! I went out of my way to say that this was not coming from me but once again, here come the lies and mudslinging.
LIE #1 "the recruit you are speaking of, Tim Tebow"
I was not speaking of anyone. The whole post says who was doing the speaking. You have twisted my words above hoping everyone will believe you. If they do they are as big of an idiot as you. You are an idiot because even that newspaper I quoted did not use Tebow's name. I had no idea that it was Tebow. Now it is on the net that it is Tebow and it is all because of you, twerp.
LIE #2 "BTW, it's not an NCAA violation for an unsigned player or signed player for that matter, to visit another recruit."
Quoting NCAA recruiting rules:
Recruiting Contact
"A contact is any face-to-face encounter between a prospect or the prospect’s parent(s), relative(s) or legal guardian(s) and a university's staff member or athletics representative during which any dialogue occurs in excess of an exchange of a greeting. Any such face-to-face encounter that is prearranged (e.g., positions himself/herself in a location where a contact is possible) or that takes place on the grounds of the prospect’s educational institution or at the site of organized competition or practice involving the prospect or the prospect’s high-school, preparatory school, two-year college or all-star team shall be considered a contact, regardless of whether any conversation occurs."
Idiotic Question:
"where did you get this information...obviously not from a credible source"
It plainly says where I got this information:

You can plainly see it but, you know nobody will scroll and look at it and that they will believe you and think that indeed I did make it up.
Now GN will join in and back you up and there will be nothing but trouble again and once again I will be blamed for it. Y'all simply can not argue any point without mudslinging or lying. Go ahead gators, go on the freaking attack and then blame me for it. Everyone will believe you. I have tried my best with this site. I truly have.

Name calling already, geechee? People use "name-calling" when they don't "have the words" to articulate a coherent thought...
I'll admit, I was wrong, the way you posted the last portion about UF in "bold" made it seem as though it was coming from you and not the author from the much asteemed "Anderson Independent Mail"...WTH is that, BTW? I've never heard of such...
First...I know the recruit is TT because I knew about he and Spiller getting together the weekend before NSD...Spiller was quoted on GatorCountry saying just that...they are very good friends...it wasn't "set-up" by UF...that is a fabrication...throughout the recruiting season, TT and CS became good friends...both are religous and their families became close as well....funny thing is, CS told his own mother as well as TT and TT's family that he was going to UF...he didn't tell anyone that he was signing with Clemson...including the Clemson coaching staff...if you'll go back and read it, the columns state that CS's mother was just as shocked as the Clemson coaches...so that throws a "foible" in the whole "UF coaches sent TT to recruit" theory....
Second....the key statement in your NCAA quote is..."Any such face-to-face encounter that is prearranged" It was a meeting between two friends, off campus, nowhere near the athletics dept. If that's a rule violation, than everybody is guilty of it...heck, USCocks are sending 3 of their current commits to QB Garcia's house this weekend to hang out...the 3 are actually staying at the Garcia's house! Point is...it's not a violation...that's the reason it's printed in that tabloid you're quoting....

You haven't "tried" anything...as soon as a Gator disagrees with you, or finds "doubt" in your posts, you go on the offensive with name-calling and bogus conspiracy theories...you've got the "Napolean Complex"...get over it...you posted a "quote"...and I had a retort...plain and simple...poor geechee needs a hug!

I
Show me all this name calling you are accusing me of. You are the ones who make everything personal. Shall we discuss the calling of Dogs' fans as "thugs and murderers" by gators' fans.
It is really hilarious that you say that what was in this SC newspaper paper is not true but then you give us all these facts we never knew. The whole gator nation obviously knows this took place because you seem to know all about it. You say over and over again that I said this and that. For the last time, I cut and paste an article from the Anderson SC newspaper. They made the claim not me. But you still come back and say it was me. You know very well that if you keep saying it enough people will believe your lies.
Don't start with all your " he just needs some hugs bs" I come here to discuss SEC football. I'm not looking for "virtual" friends online. I also do not come here to be attacked or see my school attacked but attacking UGA is the main reason it seems that lil gator fans come here. There is never any trouble in here until that happens but it will always happen with your piss poor fans and it always will be that Dogs' fans will not back down from it. How is it that UF, the SEC school that probably has the finest overall athletic program also has the absolute most classless fans?

Damn geechee, take some prozac before you have a stroke. Usually I would have your back because I hate Florida fans too, but you did post an article that you knew would provoke and then you called them idiots so what do you expect. Besides we all bend the NCAA recruting laws a little so who cares. Well all of us except Vandy. Good news is only 117 days left gents.

You should close this thread. I didn't start this rumor and went out of my way to state that. It was in print and so I posted it here. He (I'm using that term loosely) could have attacked the newspaper if he had a problem with it, but he chose to attack me instead even saying that I was making the crap up. GN, you and I have had a couple of heated threads but other than that I have had zero problems with anyone on this site except him and one other gator fan whose name I don't even recall at the moment. They were starting crap on Georgia threads and I gave it right back to them. You are a moderator. You have access to my posts. Read them for yourself. I've tried to contribute to this site in a positive way but it seems to do no good. Aloha

geechee....you and I have a disagreement and you turn it in to Chernobyl. I haven't attacked you...and I apologized in my second post about my reference to you in response to the article. I simply gave you the details...I haven't attacked you and I've never said UGA fans were thugs or murderers...yet, when I offer some "actual" details about what the article is pertained to, you blow up, call me an idiot, and say we Gator fans come here to attack you...gees! Chill out...you take this stuff too seriously...and the other poster is correct, if you are going to post something derogatory about a school, be ready for what comes with it.

Dude, don't you tell me to chill out. I am only typing on a keyboard. I'm sorry if you feel threatened by words. I made a post. I went out of my way to point out where it came from. I went out of my way to point out that I was not making any editorial opinions but you still chose to attack the messenger instead of the message. Do not give me also this BS about me taking things too seriously. You type the words and I read them, period. I don't have this problem with anyone else in here but I will never back down from your asshole childish comments with your little cartoon characters. I also asked GN to just close the thread because I knew you would not stop. You say the most idiotic statements but never once will you come back and say you were wrong you will always that that is not what you meant or I should not take it like that. You are a child who can not admit when he is wrong. You really don't need to answer this. You can just let it stop right here.
