Here is a link (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/basketball/ncaa/specials/ncaa_tourney/2006/04/02/davis.lsu.ap/) to a Sports Illustrated article in which Glen Davis said he will be returning to LSU next season and Tyrus Thomas had some positive things to say about returning for another season. The two players will have until April 29 to apply for the NBA draft.

Hey Geaux, anymore mutterings or rumors floating around about Tyrus? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he stays. That would definately help increase LSU's chances of making another deep run into the NCAA tourny. I like our chances without him, but him coming back would add that much more icing on the cake.

It would be a good thing for them to stay in school and graduate (which I hope they do because it would make for some good SEC basketball). But I don't think they will considering how good they played all year and especially how they played at the end of the year.

Ha-Ha Here I am. I've been having to actually work!
Anyway, no news on Tyrus, but most local talk shows say he will leave. His home situation is such that the money would make a big difference to him and his family. Big Baby seems to be coming back.

Well, I won't fault Tyrus, or any college athlete, for leaving to improve their families financial situation. But as UA2008 hinted at, they don't seem to realize how valuable a college degree can be, especially if/when their pro dreams come crashing down. But again, I won't fault any of these athletes for trying to improve their families lives.
