Congrats on the pickup. Watched his film and he is a pretty good blocker.

Hopefully we can build a team around his talent like UF did with Noah.

i am surprised we were able to land a guy like this...not because odom cant recruit, because of the way he is being nailed by everyone around..even the usc admin isnt backing him. with a program like usc it is helpful to have coaching stability. i dont think it is wise to have all this "fire dave odom" talk. i am not saying that this site is the culprit, because it is not..here is a question..what are the repercussions if we get rid of odom? who is gonna coach this program? All we will get is a coach from a mid major school who will have to make all new connections with coaches..we here who know recruiting well, know that it takes time to build trust in a staff..especially from a state university who hasnt been all that great to its hs coaches and players..Dave has been here 5 yrs and won 100 games. yes i know that we have had a few late runs and not made the real deal, but it takes time...coach beamer comes to mind..his teams in the late 80s struggled..he was on the thinnest of ice..he had the support of the ad or he was gone..i think of coach tuberville in auburn..they wanted to run him out on a rail..our socieity wants results immediately. It takes character to come in to a program like usc and build it the right way..i commend dave odom..i truly believe these guys learned about winning and being men this year. they will play hard and get wins. maybe we actually will build something.
