How do you feel about this? I had a feeling it was going to be Florida but apparently they were floored after the Austin visit. But hey, Bama is in the mix, so maybe he will come here :laugh:

A bit surprised Texass got Brantley with Snead on board.

From what I've heard and read, we're much higher on Garcia. Brantley wasn't the right QB for our system, imo.

Looks like Texass might be going to back to a more traditional offense?

I had actually heard that Brantley was a 'horn a week ago from a friend grad. assist. at UF...he said that there was basically a mutual agreement between Kerwin Bell, Brantley's HS coach, and Meyer that UF's offense wouldn't be a good fit....now, I have no freakin' idea why he would want to go to Texas...they have "several" freshman QBs already...there's a chance he'll never see the field! Accordingly, GN is right, Garcia is high on the Gator board.

Brantley indicated that he does not care about immediate playing time. In fact, he wanted to make sure he would be in a situation where he could red shirt. With Jevan Snead signing this past year, that should not be a problem.

True...but UT has a half-a-dozen QBs on the roster....2 RS-freshman from last year...now Snead and another....plus for 2007...Brantley is the 2nd QB to commit....another interesting point is all of the QBs...minus-Brantley, are running type QBs...I expected him to sign with Bama....he would fit that offense perfectly.

Yea...but he's like 6'2" and 175lbs...that's just a little thin...he'll definately need to put on 20-30 lbs before taking a college snap.

Big 6'4" 288# D'Angelo McCray committed to UF today....this guy is a beast...runs a 4.7 40 at that size...can ya tell we need DE next year? That's two in 4 days!

Great get for Mattison, who had been working on him four years ago in the "Down n Dirty" camp. He should be a 5-star when it's all said and done.

And another "up-yours" verbal to f$u and scUM. That alone is worth it....
