How about those Cocks: totally dominating Louisville after trailing 11-2. Odom has done it again, 4 out of 5 years with 20 or more wins. The last team to win the NIT in back-to-back seasons was over six decades ago (hint WW II was in full swing!)

GO COCKS!

{Three out of six teams still playing ball are SEC teams. Ain't it sweet!]

Yes, and wasn't it a nice surprise that they added the dunk contest for the NIT without telling anyone

I was so pumped last night that I forgot all about being under the weather! The Cock's put on a clinic last night... Almost 81% shooting from inside the arc!

I'm a little concerned about the size Michigan has down low, but if we run the floor on them like we did UL, we should get a two-peat.

.........we should get a two-peat.

I cast my vote for a two-peat also..... :welcome:

:shout: But I am totally against a three-peat.

Congrats to South Carolina. Personally I thought they should have gotten a bid to play in the NCAA tounament. But a look on the bright side, maybe the SEC can have the NIT champion in South Carolina, and the NCAA tournament champion with LSU and Flordia being 2 of the Final 4 teams. I mean what is this world coming to when the SEC is dominating NCAA basketball. We are a football conference. But all I have to say is GO SEC!

I predict that South Carolina will win the NIT, and that Florida and LSU will play for the national championship in the NCAA. All I have to say is GO SEC AND GO COCKS!

Good luck , and I think there is no doubt that S. CAR should have been in the NCAAT.

Great win Cocks. I think y'all got jobbed not getting into the big dance. I know it's the NIT, but it's difficult to win any tournament with that many teams. Great job representing the SEC.

Pretty surprising that the firsts two posts after our fantabulous NIT win  was from non-Gamecocks.

Really appreciate the encouragement from you guys. It certainly wasn't the Big Dance, I'm not even sure it was a square dance, but it was some kind of dance and we won it.

Too bad this year will be remembered for so many "close but no cigar" games. But in the end, I'm both surprised and pleased with the effort down the stretch.

I hope Balkman can become the ballplayer he showed he was capable of being next year.
