I just heard him announce on the radio that he has verbally committed to play for Steve Spurrier and the Gamecocks. Great news for us guys

This is REALLY great news. I'm curious....you guys that live in the Cola area, do you think that Gray can accomplish what he is quoted as saying above? Does he have the personal appeal, the agressiveness, the assertiveness to make some of that happen?

Gary and the rest of the elite have been talking for awhile now about going to the same school. I'm a little surprised that Gray got the spotlight to announce where "they all may go." It wouldn't surprise me if the other 'great ones' let ego dictate a different course. But I'm just happy to get Gray. It would be great to get more, but we'll take it one
5-star recruit at a time.

He can certainly work the guys in state. Judging from what people in the know have been saying, he is a personable kid. His presser and interview tonight indicated that. He has a good relationship with all of the instate guys, and I think the dominos will indeed begin to fall early for us this year.

The California boys? Well, we'll see. His coach confirmed at the presser that Gray speaks to Clausen once every two weeks. Let's just say that there is really no way this can hurt us.

I think we have a chance to be this year Georgia team in recruting. Last year they had a lot of top guys( 5,4-star guys) commit early. I'm not saying we are going to get a lot of 5-star guys but I think we will get 2 or 3. Our class is going to be filled with 4 and 3 star guys. But what Georgia did last year with recruting was impressive, I dont think we can match that but I think most of the guys we get are going to be before the start of the football season.

Fantasic. I know my wife thinks I a loser. I was out in the yard with my dog listening to this on the radio. When Gray chose us I think I jumped about 10 feet in the air. She started laughing. It's okay because it's worth it.
