Some possible bad news for the Gamecocks. Read earlier that Fred Bennett is having severe academic issues, and may well not be with the team this season. Spurrier has mentioned he had 2 or 3 players on his radar screen right now. It sounds like Fred is one of them.

Oh that's frickin' fantastic: you have the greatest secondary in the SEC, none of them seniors, and you've already lost 3/4 of them to crap like this!

How marvelous!!!

Wow! Our secondary has already taken a big hit. Hope Bennett can get it together, although I felt he was at times a weak link last season. Seem to remember him getting burned a lot.

I'd rather have him that not, but was hoping someone else would step up & take his spot. We need the depth if nothing else, &players do improve & develop as they move forward in their careers.

Hit the books Fred!

I agree. However, once again I love Spurrier's attitude towards it. If he does not straighten up soon, he will be long forgotten and Spurrier will plug in the next guy and won't whine, complain, or use it as an excuse for anything. These guys are going to learn sooner or later they HAVE to buckle down if they want to stay in this system.

Right on, GT! If it worked at FL, it can work here too. There's plenty of talent available; when we get the depth all great teams must have, then there won't be a problem.
