LSU's newspaper reports university sources saying Vice President **** Cheney will be the spring commencement speaker. LSU Chancellor Sean O'Keefe has been telling people the veep has been engaged for the ceremony. Kristine Calongne, LSU spokeswoman, says the chancellor's office is not confirming or denying the information. As NASA director, O'Keefe worked for Cheney. The vice president canceled speaking at the spring 2003 commencement. His wife, Lynne Cheney, took his place.
