I missed the first hour due to a conflict with "Bones", a delightfully nerdy yet not ostentatious forensic cop thingy....and I have a deep affection for redheads but I digress...

Anywho, I did enjoy catching some the tribute performances and if you caught the rare appearance of Sly Stone, what's up with him other than he's older than jujitsu???? The rendention of "Gonna take you Higher" was one of the better efforts and all of the participants, even Steven Tyler, didn't get in the way.

Perky Kelly Clarkson impressed me, the gal cleaned up really good :p; one of the evening's suprise winners U2 (who I believe is one of the best and most consistently tight bands ever) was simply home run material; strikingly beautiful and ever alluring Faith Hill looked delicious and performed admirably; Jay-Z & Linkin Park's collaborative winning effort was a little overboard live but I like it fine on my CD; and the ever overhyped and dubious "talent" of Kanye West failed to resonate the least little bit with moi.

I'll catch a re-run and hopefully be able to see the legendary Alison Krauss' subperb instrumental skills and maybe Slipnot & The Blackeyed Peas' performances which must have been in the first hour. All in all, I enjoyed what of the Grammy's I did watch and based upon what I'm reading this morning, thankfully there was very little "banal speechifying" by any of the artists.

It was aight, I liked Jay Z & Linkin Park, Kanye, and a couple other things. My god did you see Ciara and that skirt she had on, my god that was very nice. :D , but I am glad Kanye or Mariah did not win album of the year. ;)
