MSU fans have heralded their California commit, Kenny Ashley. He is a small little fire hydrant on wheels and torn up the line during the Cali-Florida game.

Well, today the Trojans offered him. Rumor is that he will be staying home to play instead of heading to Starkpatch.

We'll see.

Well to be brutally honest I couldn't blame him for making that choice. It would be hard for ANY player to turn down a scholly at USC right now , much less a California player.

I am not a fan of recruiting season anyway. Too much can happen between signing day and a player actually getting on the field to help you.

Looks like it is official . . . Kenny Ashley found it too difficult to turn down his childhood dreams of playing for the trojans. Rivals is reporting that he did sign a LOI to be a member of the So Cal team. . . Yet another close call for the Bulldogs that didn't go the way we needed it to go.

Too bad. Having top tier players come to Mississippi to play at any of the public universities helps us all.

Hahahahahahhahahahahahah! Even that wouldn't be enough to send him to Starkville.

You should be more worried about getting the four shoes that Tommy Tuberville has stuck up your ass back to him than what goes on in Starkville.

Yeah, they've got our number right now. But then again, they have yours as well.

And, that's an awful lot of smack from a fan of a school that didn't even SCORE against either AU or UA. And while we're on it, is there ANY D-I school in Alabama that you guys can beat? The Barn and Bama own you second raters and you've even lost to Troy and UAB! LMAO!!

Reserve the smack for the elite schools in the conference and just worry about beating Maine, okay?

Thanks for helping me make my point..........

A while back I was threatened by a board moderator for "talking smack" in the Ole Miss section of this site.

Where is the same response for this Bama fan talking Sh!t on the MSU forum??

Do MSu fans not get the same treatment here??

Just where is Mr. Kenny Ashley??? I don't see his name appearing on any USC roster for 2006? Does this mean he was not good enough or do redshirts not get a roster spot?

First spring practice report
Booty and Sanchez both looked good.

Hershel Dennis, the most likely starting tailback, injured his hamstring and sat out the practice. Petros Papadakis says while there certainly is new talent for the Trojans to tap into, Hershel Dennis is the only one who can pick up blitzes and understand the offense.

5-star recruit, and now a junior, Whitney Lewis looked good running the ball though.

Ryan Powdrell also saw some action in the backfield along with Brandon Hancock and Joey Adewale.

S Antwine Perez sported a beard and played on the first string defense. We love this guy. Look for him to make an immediate "impact".

The other freshman in attendance, but on the sidelines: RB Stafon Johnson, OL Zack Heberer, DL Alex Parsons, WR Travon Patterson, RB Kenny Ashley and DB Alfred Rowe.

Spring football report: March 21st [USCFootball.com]

It was my understanding that he did particapate in spring practices with the Trojans. So what JC did he go to? I'd love to see what kind of numbers he is putting up.
