Twas the night before the Iron Bowl and all through the South
Darby and Ryans were running their mouth
They talked of shutouts and 100 yard games
But their talk and their O line were both just plain lame
Their fans came to town shouting BCS and Ro Ti
But once Brodie met Stanley they were brought off their high
All of the fans saying Bama is “back”
Were quickly quieted sack after sack
When the sun finally set behind Jordan Hare
The Bama corner was practically bare
Then out of the North there grew such a clatter
I had to stand on the bleacher to see what was the matter
There stood Tubby, four fingers held high
Then in the distance I heard a Britt cry
The fans they did shout and sway to and fro
War Eagle, Ho Ho and Four in a row

I've been enjoying it for 1525 glorious days and counting. I like the sound of fear the other hand. Get an O-line and a passing game, then we'll talk.

You talk as if you own this rivalry...what a joke. Sure, you're on a roll right now but nothing like Bama's had before against the tiggers. "Then we'll talk?" Are you serious? You guys are freaking Auburn for crying out loud! Give me a break. RTR!

Totally serious. Sure if you dig far enough back into ancient history you can get a statistic that supports whatever claim that you are trying to make. That's right. We are freaking Auburn. By the way -1526 days and still counting.

Denny where you even alive when Bear was coach?

Denny where you even alive when Bear was coach?
Absolutely! I was 12 when he died but I've got plenty of great memories. In fact, my family moved to Georgia when I was six and I still recall Bama winning NCs in 78 and 79 with my boyhood hero Major Ogilvie (just ask uga_alum 93, a childhood friend). I even had a dog named Major. I vividly recall the 82 Liberty Bowl and how my father spoke of Coach Bryant during that game. My father, mother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc., are Bama people through and through, with an occasional blacksheep barner mixed in, usually by marriage though.
But to directly answer your sarcasm 94, I don't think it matters if someone was alive or not when the Bear roamed the sidelines in order to appreciate what he accomplished. I admire plenty of folks that came and went before me based solely on what I've read or been taught. I'm also a proud graduate of The University of Alabama and welcome all "sidewalk" alums, as some refer to non-grad fans, into the Bama nation. In fact, I'm the only Bama grad in my family (but I'm proud to say I have a cousin graduating this May). Makes no difference to me as long as you don't wear any form of orange.
BTW, were you alive during the great beatdown from 1958-1982? I would love to hear some of your memories! :D To paraphrase you earlier, win a NC, then we'll talk barner.

Yeah, I know. I'm sorry if I embarrassed any Tide folks with my rant. Like Tommy Lewis, I guess I'm "just too full of Bama." :o
