I'm stoked. My # 2 team coming to play my # 1 team in the NFC championship game. I've pulled for the Panthers since they began, but they weren't around when I was growing up, so I don't feel the loyalty like I did, say when the Braves came out and played against the Mariners. My wife, a Seattle native, will be wearing my Panthers jersey (she likes the colors of their uniform  ) and I'll have my Seahawks jersey. Couldn't get tickets, but. Who do yall like in this game?

I like Seattle, and whoever wins is who I am pullin for in the Super Bowl. I want the panthers to represent the South and my boy Thomas Davis to get a ring. But then again I like the seahawks and want Alexander and company to get rings.

I'm not sure who will win, but I'm definately a huge Panther's fan. When they played at Clemson their first year, I went to 2 games with my dad. I was 13 at the time. I've been a huge Panther's fan since. We really have an outstanding playoff record as franchise. I believe they are 6-2 overall and 5-1 under John Fox in the playoffs. Jake Delhomme always steps up big-time in the playoffs so Seahawks beware!

Im goin with the Panthers. Steve Smith is unstoppable, Nick Goings is a solid back, Jake Delhomme is the second-best playoff QB in the NFL(Tom Brady #1)plays even better on the road, and they have the best D in the NFL. And I know Ill be crushed for this by BAMA fans, but Shaun Alexander shrinks up in the big games. Plus they played in the worst division in the NFL so he padded his stats.

Ought to be a great game. Panthers are proving to be quite the road warriors at the end of the season/playoffs. All the talk on sports radio is about containing Smith. He's a stud. If we can shut down the run w/ 7 men, I think our secondary can stop him.

It would suck for Carolina to lose, but with the four teams that remain, I really like all of them. I would like to see any one of these four teams get a ring. Carolina is obviously my favorite team. Seattle has always been a lovable loser so I've pulled for them most of my life. I would love to see Bill Cowher get a ring because I've always liked him alot. Denver would be my least favorite team of the ones remaining but I don't hate them or anything. I always liked Jake Plummer when he was at ASU and with the Cardinals. Champ Bailey is easy to pull for also.

The only thing that worries me about this game is how banged up Carolina got in Chicago last week. That was the hardest hitting game I can remember. It seemed like every other play there was someone who getting hurt. I think the Panthers are more physical but at the same time more worn down. However, I like their chances a lot in this game because they are a solid team from top to bottom. This Panthers team doesnt really have a weak spot on either side of the ball.

Gotta pull for Seattle. They've played well all season (even without Alexander for most of the last game), and I think they'll hold up fine this weekend. It won't be easy, but they have the talent to get it done.

Sean Alexander is going to be a weak link in the next game. With that uncertain concution (sp?), I'm not sure he is going to be all that ready for next game. Besides, they really didn't look that impressive against that (can I say it) mediocore Redskins team.

And Steve Smith has made me a believer. He torn apart the best defense in the NFC quite easily. The only thing i see as a question mark is their running game. I think they lost their starting RB DeShaun Foster, and their second string. They're going to be alittle thin in the dept chart against Seattle.

Honestly, I like both of these teams, but from what I've seen. Carolina seems to have an advantage.

Oh and my predicitons:

Carolina over Seatle
Denver over Pittsburg

Denver over Carolina in the Superbowl.

Im a pretty big panthers fan as well( even if theyre in the No Fun League). I dont know who will win the game, but I do know that it seems like the panthers are always underestimated, but the whole team is just solid. With the exception of Steve Smith, they have no super stars. The players go out there and get the job done. The panthers are a great "underdog" team, so dont bet against them.

Seattle's D has impressed the hello outta me down the stretch this year & I'd have to say it's at least as good as Carolina's. Tatupu just flies around the field and SEA's offense has more weapons that Carolina's. All Carolina has is Steve Smith. Nick Goings is a hard runner but not fast nor shifty enough to carry the team. If Steve Smith is held in check (by in check, I mean under 10 catches, around 100 yards and AT MOST 1 score), SEA should win this one going away....the only way I can see CAR winning is if they have a big advantage in turnovers and/or a couple freakish special teams plays.

Pittsburgh is my team. :D If they play like they did against INDY, the Broncos don't scare me too much. I fully understand how hard it is to win in Denver but the Steelers seem pretty determined and they showed last week that they can win with the passing game. Again, I see this game won/lost in turnovers and/or special teams.

Two great games coming right up! GO STEELERS! :D

And here I thought you were perfect...beautiful, cool husband, good attitude, Gamecock fan & now this. It's like that cashmere sweater George bought on Seinfeld...it's perfect except for that itty bitty little spot & it ruins the whole thing. You being a Broncos fan is your itty bitty little spot! :D ;) j/k

Don't take it personally when my Steelers make Jake Plummer look like he did when he was with Arizona....he's gonna throw at least 2 picks in that game. You better hope your running game is ON cuz he won't be passing old ladies on the highway, much less to his receivers against that PIT defense! haha!

Not to burst your bubble wayz, but Jake "The Snake" Plummer ain't the same QB that he was in Arizona. He has a much better supporting cast, and he's a much smarter QB as well. Both games should be good games Sunday. I'm going with Carolina and Denver, but both games could go either way IMO.

is peppers going to be ok for this game????

im going Panthers over seattle and Pittsburgh over Denver. Defence wins Championships and the Panthers and Pitt have the better defenses. the panthers are my favorite team so i really want them to win. Travelle Wharton needs to get him a ring in his first year. however i would love to see Bettis go out on top. what an awesome ending that would be for his hall of fame career!!!

G_F too?!?! WTF is goin' on around here? All these people I had high opinions of are falling on their swords of Bronco love! Nooo!!! Jake Plummer is still Jake Plummer when you put pressure on him. He may throw more away and he may take more sacks than he did when he was with the Cards but if they're behind and he sees a pinprick of an opening, he still tries to force it in there when he really shouldn't. He just has the running game in DEN he never had in ARI and Shannahan's wrath to keep him from doing it as often, that's all. That and 5 years of experience doesn't hurt....ok ok, so he's a better QB, PIT will still pressure him into more mistakes than we've seen him make over the regular season.

It's gonna be a good game to watch & my guess is it's going to be so physical, whoever does win is going to need the two weeks off before the Super Bowl to recover. I'm looking forward to it (obviously) but I still think PIT is the better overall team. That defensive front of DEN didn't fare too well against PIT when they were all in CLE. I don't see how changing their address will change that all that much. We shall see. ;) :)

Peppers practiced today (Friday), but the Panthers are still listing him as "questionable" for Sunday's game. My guess is he's playing as long as he can walk out on the field. ;)

No, no, no. There's no Bronco love here. I just want to see a good game, and could really care less who comes out on top between Denver and Pittsburgh. I just believe Plummer has matured as a QB, and has better players around him (not better players than Pittsburgh, but better players than he had in Arizona). And you're right, Shannahan probably has a lot to do with that (Plummer's decisions are much better IMO).

And wayz, I didn't mean to make you think less of me than before. I won't let it happen again. :D

Let it be known that I think the Steelers should play the game against the Broncos under protest because Shannahan isn’t being truthful about his personnel.

I have it from a source close to the team that sometime early this season, Mike Shannahan actually benched the real Jake Plummer and began starting the much wiser Grizzly Adams instead. According to my sources, Shannahan was going to have a press conference to announce the benching but since no one (from the fans to the media to everyone at home watching on TV) noticed the change, he just let everyone go on thinking it was Jake out there. See, he knew teams would gameplan for Jake and expect to get the usual 3 interceptions per game and when they stopped getting them, Denver started winning. However, from what I understand Shannahan still hasn’t lost hope on Jake and is still trying to give him playing time (you know, with Grizzly Adams ready to retire n’ all...) so he’ll improve. Grizzly Adams gets them a lead, Shanny’ll put Jake in, he throws a quick INT & Adams comes back in. Wash, rinse, repeat...you understand.

But see, I’m on to you Denver. I see what you’re doing and I’m emailing the Steelers to let them know what’s up. I’m gonna let them know who’s really playing QB so they can sack him early & often and hopefully knock Grizzly Adams out. You know, try and force Shannahan to play the real Jake “The Snake” Plummer as early in the game as possible. The picks will come in the second half if we can knock Adams out...of course, no one will be able to tell when & if the Steelers ever do knock him out of the game so we’re just gonna have to bring it for all 4 quarters and hit whoever is back there just to be safe. :D

I am sick and tired of hearing the Seattle fans and players say "We don't get enough respect." What have you done to deserve the respect??? You play in a crappy NFC West, where almost all teams were under .500. Panthers didn't get any respect when they went to the Super Bowl. Heck the media wasnt even talking about how the Panthers don't get respect. They played well in the Super Bowl and have played well since then. You have to have another season like this or go to the Super Bowl and make it a game against who ever you are playing. First atleast win something (NFC Championship or Super Bowl) then talk about getting respect. You don't deserve respect yet and the Panthers do, because they have only been in exsistence for 11 yrs and they have a better playoff record than you do!!! The franchise as a whole is 5-1 and Seahawks have a losin playoff record. Seahawks haven't even been to the NFC Championship in like 22 yrs.

I'd advise you to take care, GRule....the refs may give one or two to the Steelers to make up for taking that INT away from Polamalu & comments like this. :D

Dont think its gonna be so easy.....Theres a reason New England had so many turnovers in Denver, its one of the hardest road trips a team can make. You're lucky your Steelers caught Indy offguard after a long break. Denver will be ready

Good good...let's hope they get the vBookie thing going so we can make this 'official'. ;) :D

Yeah, I hear what you're saying about Denver being a tough place to play...I'm not nearly as confident as I probably sound. It will definitely affect Pittsburgh early on in the game so I think it'll be crucial to get them quiet early like they did in Indianapolis last week. Carson Palmer's knee injury took a lot out of Cincy's crowd the week before that so Pittsburgh's been fairly good at neutralizing the homefield for the most part so far. Will they be able to a third week in a row in Denver? :o We'll see....I fear Denver's defense more than I do their offense though. They are super fast & have way too many good sets of hands for my taste. I hope we can run effectively and stop them from running. I like the idea of Jake Plummer having to pass in order for them to move the ball...cuz that's when he starts taking chances.

An ideal game would have us playing with the lead and running right up the middle and use play action to strike deep every now and then to keep 'em honest. Wash rinse repeat on offense, turn the ball over less than they do and put pressure on Jake Plummer....sounds good if we can do it. If we can't do at least some of that well, we won't win. They're playing like they're on a mission though so I like our chances.
