I know, you've probably heard this a thousand times today, and if you havn't, don't worry, you will: If your the Houston Texans, you have the first pick, and who do you pick? Remember, they already invested in a (1st rounder I think) QB with David Carr.
And, also, what is the next 4 draft picks like?
Heres how the draft goes:
1.Houston
2.New Orleans
3.Tennessee
4. New York (Jets)
5. Green Bay

As Kiper Jr. said on PTI, it depends on how invested you are in David Carr. My guess will be Bush for Houston.

Houston should take Reggie Bush. I don't care about what was a mediocre performance for him last night. He is truly a gamebreaker in the mode of Marshall Faulk.
It looks like Leinart and V. Young could go 2-3. They both have question marks if you ask me. Leinart will have to show that he has enough arm strength since he won't have the advantage of his wideouts being so much better than the people trying to cover them like it has been for him in college. I was thoroughly impressed by Young, but that delivery needs to be much more over the top. He'll get a lot of passes swatted in the NFL if he doesn't alter his mechanics. The Titans really like him along with the offensive tackle D'Brickshaw Ferguson.

Yep. Bush isn't gonna be a godsend to a team who can't block for him.
Dom Capers sucks as a coach, there biggest improvement next year will be b/c of coaching....

If Young enters the draft, I'd say that he'd be the best pick for Houston. But that depends on how comfortable they are with Carr. If they feel he can lead their team, then Houston should pick up Bush to strengthen their backfield. But dropping Carr for Young would give them the benefit of both a good QB and a strong runner, and also someone who really seems to pump up the offense around him.
For New Orleans, I'd say Vince Young (if not drafted by Houston) or next to him Leinart. They really need a good QB to build their offense around, and one of these two guys could really give them a good starting point.
I think Tennessee would be making a good choice with Reggie Bush (if not drafted by Houston) or next to him Lendale White. I think they should focus on using their first pick to strengthen their backfield, and then focus on a slightly lesser QB the next round if they're not happy with McNair.
The Jets are another team that I think needs to pick up a good QB to build up their offense around. For New York, I'd pick Leinart if still available... then Vince Young.... then Jay Cutler if the others are already picked.
Green Bay is a little trickier, as I have no clue which area they'll focus on. If they actually decided to strengthen their ground attack (do they even have one? :p), they would of course do good with either Bush or White if still available. Otherwise, they might want to look at Demeco Ryans or AJ Hawk on defense. I don't think they would be looking at a QB with Rodgers already waiting his turn should Favre decide to retire.

Tennesee has 2 good RB's why would they get Lendale White. Reggie Bush is the first pick then Leinart and then Titans pick Vince Young.

Brown's okay, but definitely not a top-calibur RB. I don't have much faith at all in Henry, and just think that the Titans would be doing good to focus on a good back to put in there with Brown. They could pick up some decent OL in the next rounds, which combined with a couple of guys they already have with decent hands, would give them a much more rounded offense than they've had the past year or two.
Just my opinion anyhow...

I am not sayin your wrong. The titans just have to many needs right now RB is last on there list. They need some O line,WR's,Secondary, and a QB to replace Mcnair when he is gone. If they can get them things they will be in good shape.

If I were given the keys to these franchises (oh shaddup! ;) ), here's what I would do:
1) HOUSTON: Reggie Bush > Once in a decade type player, IMO. You have to take him. DD could play the role of LenDale White and they could trade Jonathan Wells for a late round draft pick to maybe pick up some O-Line help which they DESPERATELY need.
2) NEW ORLEANS: Vince Young > Saints are used to an athletic QB but need one with a built-in leadership trait. Brooks is already all but gone....and I still think Vince Young will come out.
3) TENNESSEE: Matt Leinart > I see TEN trading down out of this pick so they can address a greater number of needs but who can predict that really?
4) JETS: Jay Cutler > The J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS! desperately need a QB and Jay Cutler will skyrocket through the player rankings after all is said & done.
5) GREEN BAY: AJ Hawk > If the Packers need anything, they need defense & Hawk would be a great fit.
high-20's) PITTSBURGH: Ko Simpson > Steelers' achilles heel this year (aside from just being too conservative on offense) is their pass defense and a lot of that has to do with the FS position not helping out the CB's AT ALL. With Polamalu holding the SS spot down as well as anyone in the league, Ko could make throwing deep on the Steelers much harder to do. :D
Yes, I'm a Steelers fan. :)

The Packers' defense has been AWFUL for the past few years now and they do have a few serviceable backs IF...might be a big IF...IF Ahman Green can come back close to 100%. I work with a diehard Packers fan who tells me the injury Green suffered was the kind that could end a career so they might just need a RB for the future.
But I still think their main area of need is on defense, particularly along the front seven. Where they have a couple good players of that seven, the other teams in their division have 4 or 5 so they have a lot of ground to cover if they want to catch up.

I have heard reports that Matt Linehart has pretty much told the Saints he will not play for them, nor does he want too. I cant really say I blame him with all the controversy over staying in New Orleans or leaving, and I am not to sold on their coach yet.

1. Houston. . .Reggie Bush, but I would trade that pick and get a pro-bowl left tackle. I'm sure there would be someone out there who would be willing to give that up.
2. New Orleans. . .Matt Leinert, but they should take Vince Young. Who cares what Leinert has supposedly told the Saints? That didn't stop the Chargers from taking Eli (even though they traded him).
3. Tennessee. . .Being a Jaguar fan, I hate to say this, but Vince Young. He makes a beautiful fit there. I would hate to see Leinert reunited with Norm Chow there, too.
4. NY Jets. . .With both top notch QBs gone and with no other RB valued in the Top 5, the Jets have to take D'Brickshaw Ferguson. He is the potential pro-bowl left tackle that both the Texans and Jets need.
5. Green Bay. . .Chad Greenway (LB from Iowa) or AJ Hawk. They need help on defense. . .BAD. If you don't remember, Greenway was valued in the Top 5 until Vince Young's value skyrocketed mid-season.
Guys, don't listen to this Jay Cutler mess. He is a good quarterback, but everything I've heard from NFL scouts points to him going no higher than the 3rd round. They don't like his foot work. He throws off his back foot a whole lot. I think y'all are listening to Skip Bayless and Woddy Paige too much. They are both high on this guy, but don't forget that Skip went to Vandy, and Woody went to Tennessee. There may be some homerism in there.

I bet that you are wrong on that one. Cutler definitely goes in the first round, probably somewhere between 9-12. Lots of teams are looking for a franchise quarterback and with so few out there, his value will skyrocket.

Cutler will be a 1st round choice barring a meltdown in the All Star Games. That comes from Gil Brandt and Mel Kiper, not those 2 stooges on Cold Pizza. RTR

Agreed. It looks like there will be more teams looking for a QB than initially thought earlier this season. Cutler will likely go somewhere in the first round. It might even give Croyle a bump up to the 2nd round or so, instead of late 3rd/early 4th which is what I had originally predicted for him.

If Croyle can add some weight and stay healthy, he could be a real nice sleeper on draft day. There are lots of teams in the NFL playing games with worse looking quarterbacks than Croyle.

Why would New Orleans draft Bush???? They have Deuce McAllister. He is one of the best RB in the league and they signed him to a huge contract last off-season. They need a QB despertley and they will either take Leinart or Young FOR SURE. It would be impossible to trade Deuce McAllister because his contract is huge.

Not trying to call you out Jordan but I split with you here. I see Cutler in the first round fairly early & Croyle in the 3rd or 4th with a possible slip to later. Even though I think he proved his knee injury isn't the Jason White type, I think the stigma of it will be enough to make teams go another route during that period of the draft & he could fall to mid-5th pretty easily. Whoever gets him there will get an awesome deal but it'll have nothing to do with his ability. NFL teams are stupid like that, knowwhatimean?

I'm not disagreeing at all, as I said I initially predicted Croyle for the late 3rd/4th at the earliest. I still expect that, but just mean that I wouldn't be surprised (with the seeming interest in QBs by several teams this year) if some team decided to take him a little earlier than my prediction.
There have been several NFL scouts that really liked him this year from what I hear, but I'm not sure what their interest is for a QB over some other positions.

I think Hawk will likely be the first on defense, with Ryans not far behind him.

Don't forgot about the Butkis award (linebackers, obviously) winner in plasnosky or however you spell it, He's the Penn State MLB who got hurt against FSU. Oh and its DeAngelo Williams from Memphis. He'll be another good pick.

I'm not so sure Posluszny will be leaving this year. He's a junior, and has never committed to the draft. He doesn't need surgery on his knee, but the rehab is supposed to take about 8 weeks. If he enters the draft, he will definitely be right up there with Hawk and Ryans.
