AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn defensive end Stanley McClover said Thursday he will forgo his senior season and make himself eligible for the NFL draft.
McClover had 13.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks for the Tigers this season.
''I returned home following the bowl game and had long talks with my parents and prayed a lot about my future,'' the 6-foot-3, 260-pounder said. ''I also received the coaches' input and weighed that into my decision. I feel like this is the right opportunity for me to take my game to the next level.''
McClover was hampered by an ankle injury much of the season, but was credited with 7.5 sacks over the final four games.
The Tigers finished the season with a 24-10 loss to Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl.

I think it's a mistake for him. He's projected to go in the 5th or later as of right now. Another year, and he could make some big money, especially if he makes it through uninjured. JPW has to like the decision though...

McClover will be missed, but I wish him luck in his future endeavors. I can't say I blame him. Show me the money!

he can get cut... if he had another year, he could have gotten a big signing bonus along with a higher salary.

Nothing is guaranteed except the signing bonus in the NFL, isn't that right? They can cut just about anyone unless there's a buyout clause in the contract & I don't think there's anything like that when you're drafted on the second day. It's a huge risk to go early if you're not projected to go in the first three rounds.

So i take it McClover's gonna star in "The Pirates of the Caribbean III: Curse of the Bayou" when he lands in Hollywood. Oh wait, they don't have an NFL team! Has anyone told Mclover this???

I actually think this is a smart move by McClover. He is a freaking beast and just looks like an NFL player.
What if he had returned to tear a knee up and never play another down? Bye bye millions.

Actually, it would be hello millions. Because any player worth his NFL stock is going to have a million dollar or more insurance policy.

Why would u let a player with Gold Teeth play.
Here is a list of classy Georgia players who have had Gold Teeth.
Robert Edwards
Quincy Carter ( talk about an idiot)
and if I'm not mistaken.. Champ Bailey.
Who cares if they have gold teeth. Can he sack the Quarterback?
31-30!

Bah, McClover is a bad mofo. I'm a fan of him... even if I am a Bama fan, I gotta admit the dude is a manchild. Same thing w/ Kenny Irons.
I love watching them play, and pulling against them. Strange huh? :P

Next time you attempt to make fun of another team's player, even if you know it's a picture of someone that is not who you say it is, atleast change the friggin' file name. You might have been able to get it by some people on here if you changed it to "quincy_carter.jpg."

Man you failed it up twice in a row. An easy stroll over to the Dallas Cowboys website, or a quick Google Images search, would have netted you this picture:

What's that? He's smiling! Oh, and no gold teeth. Phenomenal.

I don't think so. I could have netted that pic off of google but passed over it b/c the teeth don't show well.
By the way thanks for the coach!

Because the teeth didn't show well? I see. Well since those are perfectly good white teeth there. However, since are you so hard up to put gold teeth on Mr. Carter there, I suggest you load up MSPaint and create the custom color 192-128-0. It's kind of a dark gold, but gold none the less. Then just use the paint brush and go over his nice white teeth there.

The flava flav picture was for a laugh, although I am reasonably sure since my wife went to UGA and we have followed their program for years that Quincy has at least two gold teeth (They are in the back). You however, being a wanna be southern lawyer from reading too many Grisham novels want to blow holes in an insignificant light-hearted jab at a rival just to feel better about the fact that your team gives you absolutely nothing to crow about.
I guess it really doesn't matter to me if McClover has Gold teeth. He can flat out play. I bet if Mark Richt had him he'd play every down.

Ooh burned. You got me. I love me some Grisham. I've read all his book: The Firm, The Pelican Brief, The Chamber, etc etc etc. Also, gotta quickly return to the most primal of the "I don't have anything to respond to you with" retorts. I'm bleeding here, so much :( :( :(
