In case you missed it, there has been some discussion on the site and the future. The future is now, let's move on! I have gotten a few PMs today and one of them stated that a few of you are moving on to bigger and better things. Good Luck with that!

To honor our moving on, let's have a recruitment contest.

Prizes:

Recruit! Bring your friends and family to the site. Get this place pumping with nice trashfree SEC TALK! (see next post for more details)

Rules:

Please don't spam other sites unless it is accepted on that site.
Referred members (the new members) should not be spoofed or fakes. We will check IP addresses, etc for validity.
Referred members must make at least one post before the deadline.
Deadline is Feb 1, 2006
Staff members are encouraged to participate, but not eligible for prizes.
New members are eligible.
The list of current referrals prior to the start of the contest are in the next post and we will post updates to show progress.
In the event of a tie, user that was registered first wins.
I reserve the right to change the rules at any given point to preserve the integrity of the contest.
How to get referrals:
Referrals can be gotten by sending potential new user to the site using the following URL:
http://www.sectalk.com/boards/index.php?referrerid=xxx

You have to change the xxx to your userid. To find your user id, go to a post you've made or to the list of online members and hover over your username. By doing this you will see a url to your profile, the numbers at the end are your user id.

Example:
http://www.sectalk.com/boards/member.php?u=123456 is the url of the name you hovered over.

Then the referral URL would be:
http://www.sectalk.com/boards/index.php?referrerid=123456

How to recruit referrals?

Send emails to friends
Use a link in your sig on other sites
Tell others and have them ask for your user url.
Alternately, you can supply a referred member your username and in the additional info section of the registration form, there is a block for referrer username.

Plus according to the rules Staff can participate but aren't eligible for prizes so you are safe jneesy lol..I don't see anyone breakin that record or his post one..
