I am heading to South Carolina tomorrow. My mother is in the hospital there, so we are going to have our Christmas together in her hospital room. I am staying until Saturday so that I can watch the SC bowl game with her in her room on Friday. I am trying to cheer her up as she has been in the hospital since October. I am hoping that the gamecocks will pull through! Just wanted to leave this post and say to please say a little prayer for my mom for a speedy recovery. We will be trying to pull SC through on Friday. Go Gamecocks!

Thank you, all. Mom and I had a good time watching the game...the first half! The second half...well, not as much fun! Bummers, Gamecocks :( . What the heck happened out there  ? Mom is doing a little better. She had an infection that had spread from her mouth, to her throat, down her esophagus, and into her stomach. She is finally healing and is now eating a little better. She is down to about 90 pounds. She isn't able to sit up or stand and is doing physical therapy. She is being sent to a nursing home for more physical therapy when she is released from the hospital. She couldn't put her USC shirt on, but she laid it on top of her while the game was on. She also had 2 stuffed animal Cockys and a Gamecocks bumper sticker on her hospital bulletin board. She did state that she was about to go down on that field and "wallop" those boys if they didn't start playing better in the 2nd half! Thanks for all your prayers. Please continue to pray for her.
