Nope, just drive around Pensacola and take a look-see; then amble on over to Niceville and take a gander; on your way back, look in on Milton.

Yeah I am originally from Florida, and damn if everyone didnt wear jean shorts there. I honestly swear that I never wore them, but they are everywhere. I remember I came up to go to school in South Carolina, and whenever I would tell someone I was from Florida, they would ask to see my jean shorts.
Florida has so many other problems going in the state, they havent had time to address the jean short epidemic. Give it time though...it will.

I've worn them before, if you have the right ones then it's okay, but not those jean shorts for fat ppl, the ones that look like they were designed in 1990, and not when old ppl wear them, and unfortunately it looks like Florida is wearing them the wrong way....

I went to the "Cocktail Party" this year in J-ville and saw a group of UGA fans tailgating...I SWEAR, 3 of the guys had Levi's Jean Shorts on with red UGA shirts...I took a pic...how do I post it? I walked by an said, "I thought only UF fans wore jean shorts?" They all started laughing and gave me and brother-in-law a beer. Good folks....wearing jean shorts. :D

And as far as "all the problems in our state"....those problems are contained in Dade County...the rest of the state is actually in good shape...I love Georgia though, you guys have some monster bucks! I hunt up near Fort Gaines....your state does have the worst roads I've ever seen, however.

its a small world gatorhunter. We hunt in fort gaines also. Its some pretty land. We've also got some land in Blakely and Colquitt (Miller County).
South Georgia has some great deer hunting. the deer have so much land and food to roam on because of all the farming done in that part of the state.

what is crawfish etoufee and what is remoulade?? That crawfish etoufee sounds mighty good right now..., I love crawfish, I'm a lowcountry born/raised man myself (SC) so I love me some crawfish...Crawfish etoufee is a crawfish sauce that we pour over rice or fried/baked fish. Remoulade is a type of spicy salad dressing most often served with boilded shrimp over a wedge of lettuce, and in Louisiana restaurants is called "Shrimp Remoulade."

The recipe for remoulade:
1 c. French dressing
1 c. Creole mustard
2 tbsp. paprika
1 tbsp. horseradish
1 tbsp. grated or minced onion
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. celery salt
Juice of one lemon

The recipe for crawfish etoufee:
1 1/2 cups crawfish tails, about 30
1/2 cup crawfish fat, kept refrigerated
6 tablespoons salted butter
1/4 cup flour
1 cup onions, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1 tablespoon garlic, finely minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1/8 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/3 cup green onion tops, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon parsley, finely minced
1 cup cold water
cooked rice

In heavy 5-6 quart pot or kettle, melt the butter over low heat.
Gradually add the flour, stirring constantly. Cook over low heat
until a medium brown roux is formed, about 15 - 20 minutes. Quickly
add the onions, green pepper, celery, and garlic and continue to
cook, stirring frequently, until the vegetables are glazed and
tender, about 20 minutes. Add the crawfish tails, crawfish fat,
salt, black pepper, cayenne, cumin, lemon juice, green onion tops,
and parsley and mix well. Add the cold water and bring to a boil,
or until the crawfish tails are just tender. Shortly before serving,
heat toe etoufee slowly over low heat and gradually add 1 - 2 c.
hot water to provide the gravy. Serve over boiled rice or fried catfish or baked red snapper or speckled trout.
