Is this a scientific explanation for intelligent design; or an intelligent explanation for science?

That's Christian Design, not Intelligent Design. Big difference.

Definitely a slanted construct from the new Christian perspective....
Biggest problem with ID is that it stops short of explaining or defining the rest of the Universe. If one accepts the concept of the utter vastness and incomprehensible scope of the Universe, then how can one dare posit certainty that in on other place could the "perfect" conditions for life not exist?
Carbon is but one of the Periodic Elements, so discounting the rest of the possibilities where Life could find basis just seems very arrogant to me. Besides, if ID is to be a Philosophy, then how does it purport to explain the utter chaos of activity which we can see and do know exists elsewhere?
Why this need to have all the answers right now today just confounds me, but that is what the Christian zealots pushing ID appear to be intent upon.
