Anyone else hearing that he's going to declare regardless of the Rose Bowl outcome?
And regardless of that, I'm curious as to y'alls opinion on whether you think he should come out or if he should stay another year?

I think that he should stay. He needs to refine his passing a bit more IMHO. RTR

He needs to learn how to catch the ball so he can be an NFL WR.

Yeah that would be bad, he can play WR certainly in the NFL. But if he is going to be a QB, he has to go now. College defenses can't stop him, and there is a need for QB in the NFL especially where he would fit in well (TENNESSEE TITANS). Fisher's offense would be good for Vince Young, because he is somewhat similiar to Steve McNair. I think he should go.

His passing has drastically improved from last year. I think he could go now and be a top pick. If he returns nothing is guarenteed. He could be injured, have a worse season, etc. You gotta get it while the gettins good.

He still tends to shot put the ball @ times and his accuracy is suspect. RTR

Lots of NFL people are saying that he will be a top ten pick, perhaps even top five. If he can maintain that lofty status, then I think that he should hightail it out of college. I know that I damn sure would.

I think he stays. Mack Brown does a good job of keeping top rated juniors in austin. Of course, if they win the national championship, who knows? He just seems like the type of person that would stay in college and finish his education.

If he stays there will be trouble, if he leaves it will be double.

Everyone thought that staying for his SR. year would be great for Leinart. He has done better this year than last and it hasnt helped him at all and has possibly hurt him. Last year he would've almost certainly went number 1 and now depending on who enters the draft he could be as low as 4 or worse.

Are you kidding? He has sulked since Bush busted out in the Fresno Game. If you Tivo'd the Heisman ceremonies, look at him. What a baby!
His comments after the ceremony? Well Bush said,
"I was in shock because Vince Young and Matt are such great players," Bush said.
Young on the other hand, did not say that Bush was a great player and deserved the award. He said,
"Right now, I feel like I let my guys down," Young said. "Right now, I feel like I let my family down."
Bush said Leinhart changed his life by deciding to come back. Young thinks that he let down folks because he did not win an individual award.
This is not the kind of guy that will come back to get a degree. He is the kind that will come back if his agent tells him it will get him more money.
He is a great athlete, but he has some serious maturing to do.

I think Young is NFL-calibur, but honestly not as a QB. I think he's a great athlete, and would be a great athlete at the pro-level wherever a coach decides to put him... kind of like Matt Jones this year. But I don't think his arm is any better than the next guy. Without his great legwork, he wouldn't have much hype surrounding him as he contemplates entering the draft.

I think he'll go and I never took him at his word a month or so ago when he said he was definitely coming back. Why should he is my question? Like cocky4 said, all he can do is hurt his stock by coming back....have a less-than-stellar year, get injured & miss a couple games which would lead to a less-than-stellar year (not to mention the injury-prone stigma NFL GM's like to throw around whenever they can) or any number of things.
I'm surprised it's taken this long for the rumors to start really flying about Young coming out. And I agree with a few of you in that he'd be better suited as a WR in the pros....he doesn't have McNair's ability as a quarterback. And I'm not so certain another year in school will give him that. It's something 'extra' that I don't see that the good QB's have. Guess we'll find out soon enough...

Yeah...the Heisman is nothing more than a dust collector on the shelf. It means nothing. ;)

It makes a good restuarant piece at TJ Ribs in Baton Rouge. I hate that Billy Cannon infested place :D

Yeah, but it would still be a tough ride next year for him to win it. Quinn will likely be high in the running next year, as it sounds like he's definitely coming back next year. And there will be a good many RBs making a run for it (no pun intended) as well.
