What kind of person does it take to drive drunk, flip their pickup with a friend inside and then leave the scene with their friend seriously injured still in the truck? I can't say what I hope comes to pass against this a-hole....he's certainly deserving of more than he's likely to get.

Rumor is that he is done. He has already been suspended for the Sun Bowl and will probably be asked to leave the team after that. Local sportstalk is trying to paint a picture of him leaving because he was in shock.

Getting drunk and rolling your pickup tends to put you in shock.

Perhaps....but I've never heard of a person go into shock and walk a mile and a half. But then, I haven't gone into shock that many times so maybe it is a more-common-than-most-think kind of thing. I tend to lean toward the "scared to death, gotta get as far away as possible" explanation myself, especially when you think of all he knew he was going to lose if (when) caught.

I trust you understand the "getting drunk and rolling your pickup" statement as tongue-in-cheek. I have a friend out here who played for UCLA in the late sixties. His assessment of Medlock..."Practice Dummy."

My son rooms with one of his high friends from Fremont who says he is not the least bit surprised.

Wayz, I don't know if you remember the incident in Georgia a couple years ago where the two guys were driving back from one of the bars and one if them had to yak so he stuck his head out the window. The guy caught a telephone pole guide wire and was decapitated. The driver didn't notice and just went home and went to bed with his friend's decapitated body hanging out the window.

No, I hadn't heard about that...but I guess that's what happens when you lose your head, right? (as if that line hadn't been used enough regarding that story, eh? ..get it? line? nevermind...)

Yeah, that would sound like an urban legend or something except that I remember reading that, sometime in early 2003 right? Yeah, how drunk do you have to be? I'm serious, not to notice your friend's head is missing....., can anyone find a link to this story, I'm interested in reading it again....

Sorry, Brah, but Medlock is a benny from Fremont. There ain't no beach in Fremont. He tripped into the OC to rage with the brosefs, but got boxed pronto, 'cos he couldn't hang with the OC pack. Dude was probably making mouth pizzas and blowing them before he left the Wedge. Too bad, 'cos the wahine that was chillin' wit him is chipped and may be doing the ER drama for a while.

Don't even put him on our beach. He bailed on a honey in his ride. We don't want him around our gremmies at all.
