Richard Pryor is gone at the age of 65. Being of considerable age myself, Pryor was an icon of sorts, one who went where others did not dare, he pushed the envelope and hit the big time.
I found Pryor to be a funny SOB and a gifted individual who brought the human experience to a state where anyone could enjoy it in a humorous way. While MS took away his ability to stay in the forefront of comedy as his time came, Richard Pryor will be remembered for his unique and enduring ability to cut across the societal barriers and make us laugh at ourselves. May he rest in peace.
