Who do you want to win the Rose Bowl and why?

Hook em' Horns baby.

I am a native Texan (born in Houston) so that is enough for me. Also, watching USC win is starting to get kind of boring. I also am a really big Vince Young fan. He is a lock to win the Heisman if he comes back next year.

Texas, because USC has won enough and I would like to see Mack Brown win one.But I am a big fan of Pete Caroll and Reggie Bush, but Hook em Horns.

USC all the way, by 10+ at the end of the day. Texas is practically dependent solely on Vince Young. If he's having an off day (not likely) or the SC defense can at least slow him down every now and then, it will likely bring in the special teams. USC on the other hand has a larger artillery of players if the Texas defense slows them down in one area. And if injuries come into play (which hopefully they won't), USC has much better 2nd-stringers than Texas IMO.

And the main reason I think SC wins is the same thing that has brought them victories each week this season.... the young man who won the Heisman tonight, Reggie Bush. He's a true playmaker, and one of the best (if not the single best) player I've watched at the college level in my lifetime. Combined with one of the best OLs in college football, I just don't see him having many problems making the same amazing moves to break into some big plays that he's been doing almost every game this year.

Hook 'em all the way! Texas is our good neighbor, I have many, many friends in Texas, and their roads are much better than ours. How could I not be for them!

But at the same time (for me at least, as a non-fan of both teams), I think it would be interesting to witness a team win three consecutive NC titles.... Especially with two first-round-draft Heisman winners to lead the way.

USC for the exact opposite reason as Mack Brown is a whiner who managed to seduce his way into the Rose last year with a tearful press conference.

Obviously, I am pulling for the Trojans. While I wish everyone would, I do understand how difficult it is to watch another program get all of the accolades you wish to be coming your way.

Envy is tough. We spent most of the 90's being envious of everyone else and I am sure that we will slip again soon...perhaps as soon as the Rose Bowl... but it has been a fantastic ride.

By the way, having seen Reggie, Matt, and LenDale play quite a bit for the past three years has been one of the more unforgettable football watching experiences of my life.

Fight on!!!

I hate both teams so for me I'll have to go with USC just because, even though it may not make a differance, Texas recruit's some of the same players as LSU or other SEC teams.

I'm surprised Bama fans haven't mentioned the fact that if USC wins they will be tied with us for National Championships... HOOK EM HORNS! Austin is a nicer city than Los Angeles anyway.

I hate USC and the media reach-around job that they've been receiving, and I don't like Leinhart or Surfer dude Carroll, that being said, I expect USC to win....

I'm from I-town. Irvine. We routinely make the FBI's safest cities list.

Safe Cities (http://losangeles.about.com/od/cityinfo/qt/safecity2005.htm)

The OC is a lot different than the rest of SoCal. We are pretty conservative, almost exclusively middle-class...except for the rich folks in Newport and Corona del Mar. The Irvine campus of the University of California was recently cited as the top "up and coming" university on the west coast. USC and UCLA are still considered stronger, but UCI has turned into a world class university during the last ten years.

I did spend yesterday and today with my son at a volleyball tournament in Carson, which is right next to Compton. In fact, we had lunch at Fatburger in Compton.

Sick of watching USC win all the time and I want to see if Texas can prove to the college football world that USC is beatable by actually doing it. Hook 'em Horns! (plus, its the other UT and a version of orange and white :D )

USC. One of, if not the best, college football team I have seen walk on a field. What I don't understand is how anyone can say they should not be there. When you win two in a row, and win as many consecutive games as they have, how on earth could they not be there. All someone has to do is beat em. As over rated as so many people think they are, that should be easy enough. After watching them against Oklahoma in the NC, Texas could be in for a long game. USC seems to get stronger as the year goes along. I expect them to run like a well oiled machine in the Rose Bowl.

pulling for TX, but if I were putting money on it, it'd be on USC.
