Arkansas has hired Gus Malzahn to be the offensive coordinator at Arkansas. He just got done coaching Springdale High School to a state title. He runs a spread, no huddle offense.

He's an excellent coach, but it's still a big jump from high school to the SEC.

LMAO, Nutt is getting pretty desperate. I'm guessing Mustain will be headed to Feyetville again.

Does he plan on running the spread option in the SEC? Or will Nutt even alow it? I don't know if McFadden and Dick are too ready for it, either.

Looks like we might have a Florida of the west.

I think they're going to mix Nutt's ability to run the ball with Malzahn's ability to spread the field, so it should be a mix of both.

I don't know what Mustain's problem is. Technically he hasn't said he's decommitted, but sources say he's looking around. I don't see a better fit than Arkansas. Who knows what he's actually thinking?

The high school coaches have to move up sometime, I just wouldn't want it to be to my team.

Actually, Malzahn has been rumored to be the next addition to the offensive staff for 3 or 4 years. Granted, I think most people thought he would just be an assistant and not the offensive coordinator.

I think hes ready for this step up.
I'm from Springdale and have been watchin him coach since he was at Shiloh...
a 3A school when they were beating 5A teams like they were nothing..
then he stepped up to the 5A school and with some good talent had them ranked as
high as 5th in the nation and won all the games by the mercy rules.. not saying thats
anything like college ball. but i think in a year or two he will do great.

I cant wait to see what will happen if mustain and gus come aboard. I want to see a
good razorback team in sports.. I'm tired of relying on track and cross country :(
