Yah, the rates go up but I'll bet there are a million or so more people who will read the fine print in .00095 font that explains "flood coverage" since a lot of insurance companies were claiming a lot of policies didn't cover damage done by the storm surge of Katrina & Rita.

yea, its really bad that homeowners doesn't cover flood damage. at least in some area's of LA flood insurence is mandatory by law.
