Maybe now some of the more critical UGA fans will stop bellyaching because he called a run when it should have been a pass or a pass when it should have been a run. Sometimes, it seems as if they don't quite realize what they have in Richt. The guy is a superb coach and with another championship and this honor surely he has earned the priviledge of a little less second-guessing.

Congratulations to Richt, a class act all the way, and the UGA fans. I also like Spurrier and, as a coach (because he has no class as a person), Tubby.

I completely agree. You will never be able to please everybody though.

Shows everyone thinks a lot of some of these newer SEC coaches this year. So far Spurrier, Shula, and Richt have received some form of COTY.... with the latter two being voted on by fellow coaches.

Both very deserving of the award, and both upstanding coaches that get a lot from their kids. Congrats to them both on their respective awards.
