seems to be a done deal...I thought the decision would be based on the SEC-CG, but some pretty good sources over on GatorCountry say it's a lock! :D

GO GATORS!

Yeah, I think Neo had it right when he said they should change the name to the "OutBID Bowl"

That sucks for the Cocks. Reminds me of the way they did Arkansas a few years back when we finished 9-3, won the west and then got sent to the Nashville. Granted we were annihilated by the Dawgs in Atlanta, but still. We had beaten LSU, and the Cotton took them instead. Not fun, so I feel ya'lls pain. I think only twice in its history has the loser of the SECCG not gone to at least the Citrus Bowl. 1995 and 2002, with both times being Arkansas  But I'm sure the Gators' dominating win over FSU and USC's loss to Clemson didn't hurt Urban and Co's chances either.

Who are they saying ya'll will play in Shreveport? ... or Atlanta? Hopefully you guys will play Nebraska and whip their ass, so my aunt will shut up.

If we went to Atlanta, it would Ga. Tech or BC. If we go Independence, it would be Missouri.

Missouri is horrible. A guy I work with is a big Mizzou fan, so I've payed attention to them a lot this year. They cannot hold a lead for anything. The Cocks would annihilate them, IMO. Smith is pretty solid though, but I don't think he'd matter too much. Missouri's talented, but will shoot themselves in the foot numerous times throughout the game. Big 12 North, IMO, is just plain awful.

So basically you guys will go the the Peach if UGA wins, and the Indy if LSU does? Shreveport's like 3 hours from my hometown and I've got a pledge brother who lives there. I wouldn't mind going to see it. Lord knows my team's not going anywhere.

That rings a bell. We lost to Missouri in 1979, in the Hall of Fame Bowl, in Birmingham, AL., 14-24.

It should be a cock's victory but you never know. Sometimes teams play over their head in bowl games. Especially if USC's players act like they don't want to be there. Hopefully SOS will get it into their heads they need to play hard no matter what bowl they are playing in.

Hearing the same things on GatorBait.net. Thank God. I would've shot myself if we had to play Kansas in the Independence (toilet) Bowl.

i would love to see mich/florida. i hope florida can get their bowl act together as they have been lacking the last few years. i dont think usc got screwed, just as i dont think uf would of got screwed had usc gotten the bid. both are deserving. uf had a better record overall even though usc beat them head to head. uf is ranked in the top 25, usc is not. if you go strictly head to head, send tenn to the cotton or sugar. you cant take one game and make that determine a team's bowl future, you have to look at the whole season. problem for usc is that everyone's last picture of them is losing to clemson and florida's most recent memory was pounding the hell out of fsu. call it what it is, but florida has a better record and they deserve it.

Actually, we're hearing (from inside sources....how reliable those are, I don't know) that it will be Iowa in the Outback. From what this "insider" said, the Outback doesn't want Meeeechigan for some reason.

Michigan has really been playing well since their early-season stumbles. They can run on anyone and have a few really solid receivers they can use if Lloyd Carr would get his head out of his arse and do it on a regular basis.

When the Wolverine defense shows up, they're as good as any team in the country...good luck predicting when they're going to show up though; that's the problem with them. They lost the Ohio State game because Lloyd Carr pulled a Lloyd Carr and started playing 'not-to-lose' football instead of playing to win like they had been for the first three quarters.

Whoever goes to the Outback better hope it's Iowa they're facing cuz I don't think at this point, any of the SEC possibles can take them the way they've been playing.
