The pride of Arkansas will be facing off against Hopkins this weekend. I know I can't wait for this one. Like the first bout, I am hoping Taylor will take him out. Taylor is a class act and lets all tune in this weekend!

There are some big names on the undercard. According to Jim Rome, Max Kellerman, and that guy with the weird hat that is the boxing historian: this is going to be the biggest middleweight fight in the last 20 years. This fight is gonna be a battle. I think there will be even more tension this time and Hopkins will have to let his hands go meaning more openings for Taylor. JT is a good guy and thats why so many people like him as opposed to that jerk Hopkins....I glad that this time JT isn't letting Hopkins do all the smack talk. JT's smack talk is kinda like Chad Johnson....good natured. While Hopkins smack talk is more like what he is....a criminal.

HBO did a replay of the July fight earlier today. Hopkins is such a jerk. Taylor is very classy and deserving in comparison. I hope he beats the crap out of Hopkins; he's sort of like the T. O. of boxing.

This one seems like the first fight with Taylor doing better early, Hopkins late. Hope Jermain has the legs to finish this one off.

Taylor apparently won the eleventh giving him a bit of cushion according to espn's unofficial tally. This means Hopkins would need a knockout to win.

Well, I haven't followed Taylor very closely, but any man who beats Hopkins is alright in my book.

Glad Taylor won this one, scored 7-5 by all three judges. I scored the fight the same and that was giving Hopkins the first round which could have went either way, mainly because nothing happened. What saved Taylor was winning the 11th round, absolutely huge for him. That round sealed it. Taylor did seem to correct some things in this fight such as establishing his jab and doubling up on that. And Hopkins again was using his straight right which proved big for him. Hopkins also became active much earlier in this fight as supposed to the last. Taylor did enough to win. Woo Pig Sooie!

I was pretty thrilled about this. To a casual boxing fan, this wansn't an entertaining fight, but if you really understand and appreciate the sport, it was great. Such a close, close fight, just like the last time. But this time, it's undisputable. Taylor won. You're right, the 11th literally won him the fight. Like you, I scored it 115-113 too, giving X the 1st round. Jermain still has a lot to work on and I for one do not want him fighting Winky Wright in his next defense. But clearly, Jermain was better tonight. He was smarter, established his jab and didn't allow Hopkins to throttle him late in the fight. Even in the 12th, after Hopkins landed some really good shots, JT came back. Such an even fight. Bernard, love him or hate him, is a phenomenal BOXER. His fights may be boring, but he knows exactly what he's doing. Hopkins should be considered one of the greatest middleweights of all time, regardless of his losses to Taylor. But JT was better tonight. I'm like Max Kellerman and Roy Jones, if he gave himself a B- and a B in the respective fights, what in the hell can he do when he's on his A game? With Hopkins out of the way, the sky is the limit for Taylor. He needs one, maybe 2 defense against some top contenders, and then he needs to fight Winky Wright. I'm just happy for him. It couldn't happen to a better person. As always (well, not before this fight), JT was respectful towards Hopkins. I mean how cool is it that the undefeated, undisputed middleweight champion of the world wears red and white Arkansas shorts and came into the ring with a gigantic Razorback on his robe? He also shouted out to The Rock and the Razorbacks after his interview w/ Larry Merchant. Truly an ambassador for our state and we couldn't ask for a better one. Congrats to JT, he's a 100 percent class act.

No doubt, Taylor is a great ambassador for the state of Arkansas. I have always respected Hopkins, especially after he knocked out Trinidad. But Nady was constantly hounding Taylor about holding during the fight. Hopkins is just too clever with his clinching, holding and punching, and using his head while inside to cause trouble without Nady even seeing it. There were countless times during the fight when Hopkins was holding behind the head and punching Taylor. I too do not want Taylor to fight Wright next. Hopefully Burns and Co. will keep guiding Taylor down the right road. Also during this fight, Taylor landed more clean and crisp punches. That one stiff jab literally stopped Hopkins in his tracks and that was probably the hardest jab I have seen in a while. That robe Taylor wore into the ring was totally awesome.
