For the first time in awhile.....

I'm embarrassed to be a Vandy fan. I finally thought we were starting to improve this season and that CBJ may be the right coach for the job. But after yesterday I don't think that anymore. We are right where we left off last year. Yesterday was so heart breaking and embarrassing that I almost left mid way through the 2nd quarter. We got our ass kicked at HOME to FREAKING KENTUCKY. Yea, you can say we made a valient comeback. But it still doesn't change the bottom line. WE LOST TO UK.

On the bright side, BB season starts Friday. Can't wait to see a team that actually wins.

also on the bright side, you guys picked up a highly touted WR in recruiting a few weeks ago, and Earl Bennett is only a freshman!! The man had 5 TD's yesterday! So how many is that for the season? He's gonna have a nice career. Also there is some better talent at Vandy then 4 years ago. These 4-6 win seasons are the future for Vandy, not next season b/c you will be breaking in a new QB, but in 2007, 2008, and 2009 you will be in bowl contention. And don't forget this year that you can beat UT, and that's not a joke, you guys beating UT to end the year will help recruiting, be the first time since 1982 you beat them, and it will prevent them from going to a bowl game. It's not the same old vandy.....

Good receivers but nobody to throw the ball to them. And you know what, we may indeed have a decent offense next year. But the D will still have people that have no right having a D-1A scholarship. Sad when you score over 80 points in back to back SEC games and your QB throws for over 750 yards and 9 TD's and you lose BOTH games. There has to be at least staff changes at the end of this season. DC Fowler must go.

We will be good in 07, 08? Blah blah blah. That is exactly what I thought in 02 and 03. That we were a very young talented team and that we would finally have a winning season in 04 or 05.

Chin up and all of that. SC has been mediocre for 100 years. The SEC is a tough place to pull your self up from the bottom. I think more people feared Vandy this year than they did SC

Vanderbilt is the University of Tennessee!!! ;) Vandy had a great year in Football and I for one am very proud fan of Vandy and the way they played all year! I think Vandy will also have a great season in Basketball!!!

I was dead on, next year they will drop off some, but come 2007 and on they will be competing for 6 wins again, they just need an easy OOC schedule, I"m waiting on Vandy33 to come and admit he's proud...

As an Orange-Blooded Tennessee fan, and as much as I hate losing to a team that we had a 22 yr streak on, I have to congratulate Vandy on an OUTSTANDING effort and a terrific ballgame. I am actually kind of tickled you guys won the game because it spurred so many changes in Knoxville. I do hope this makes Vandy an up and coming contender for the years to come. Congrats on a great season!

BTW, I didn't know there were any Vandy fans that posted here. Maybe I just haven't been around long enough. Are there any KY fans that post here?
