I'm sick of this mess....

My take on it. Sure, Willingham had a better starting record at first than does Weis. But he also had less of a likelihood of leaving anytime soon. With all the rumors around Weis being recruited again by NFL teams, Notre Dame has a lot more of a fear of losing him..... so they extend the contract and show that they REALLY want him to stay at their school for the long-term. I just don't see how race plays into this at all?
