Finally a freakin night game in Athens. We haven't had one since our home opener back in 2002. This game is going to be huge. Auburn and Georgia both fighting for spots in the dome, HUGE recruiting weekend for Georgia, night game. Man I am fired up.

I love night games. They're the best! Gives you time to tailgate and see how other teams do during the day, then you can enjoy your own team at night. Great atmosphere at night.

Yep, I was really hoping the LSU/Bama game would be at night. But at least this way I'll get a chance to watch both games on TV instead of them being on at the same time.

Firedawg's absolutely on fire about this one! Master streams (that would be around 1000 gpm) couldn't touch me. Can't wait!

why are you so sure gameday would'nt be in tuscaloosa?
alabama will either be ranked #4 or #3 (if VT loses to miami)
and LSU will probably be #5 (Miami or VT HAS to lose).
Not to mention they just saw a GA game last week.
if VT loses, it may be a #3 vs #5 matchup
and if VT wins, it should be a #4 vs. #5 matchup.
the good news is i think corso is picking LSU to win the west.

Corso has been picking against Alabama all year and your right he is picking LSU to win, He makes a point to say LSU is the best team in the SEC every week.
I just checked the alternative games for that weekend and I might be wrong about them comming to Tuscalosa, The only other game of interest that weekend is USC vs Cal

Excuse my language, but f*ck gameday. I hope that traveling circus led by the 3 dumb@sses never comes to another Georgia game and especially never steps foot on our beautiful campus.

Right on all counts; even on Corso, because in this case he is correct.
:D
Tuscaloosa is the perfect Gameday place to be. Nowhere in the country will be as exciting or have as good a football game. ESPN is dopey if they pass up LSU vs. Alabama in storied Tuscaloosa. Man... it doesn't get any better than that!

But remember that USC @ Cal is also that same day.... knowing ESPN, they just might choose that game.

Cal is hanging by a thread in AP poll, at #23. Bama vs. LSU will be a matchup of top five teams. How could that be overlooked?
... but, taking into consideration the fact that Corso is of the opinion that Cal will beat USC, they'll more than likely televise from Berkeley.

Not necessarily....
UCLA could slip up to #5 on both polls, they've already got it in the BCS rankings. They are still undefeated, while LSU and Miami (if they win VaTech) are 1-loss teams. Not saying that UCLA is definitely the better team, but if they are 9-0 it might be hard for some pollsters to deny them the #5 spot.

I can’t see how they would not go to the LSU / Bama game. I am in the minority on this but I like the gameday crew. Herbstreet is usually level headed and Corso tries to bring the funny. I laugh a couple of times per show. Not to mention we get to hear about games other than the SEC. What if we had no gameday or ESPN? Do you think college football would be a better and more enjoyable game without them? Look how big college football has become. It was probably just as enjoyable for some of the older members but as a youngster (25), when I think of sports in general, I think of ESPN.

kirk herbstreit is the only decent one in that bunch. lee corso talks out of his a$$ and chris fowler doesn't know what the heck he's talking about. and even then kirk shows his homerism come out, just like picking the buckeyes over the longhorns.

That is the problem. They have WAY too much control over some sports, ESPECIALLY college football.
