I hope (Casey) Dick starts the rest of the season....if for nothing more than the wonderous amount of jokes!!!
All joking aside....Dick does look good! Wait a second....lets just say Dick has performed well....wait.....The quarterback Casey Dick has done well in practice and he can't be any worse than Johnson. He was highly recruited and we got somebody (Mustain) better than him coming in next year so why worry about keeping his redshirt? As crappy as our quarterbacks have been this year why do we want to redshirt any of them and keep them longer....lets get rid of them as soon as possible.
I hope you all apreciate how difficult it was for me to get through to the end of this without making more jokes....I'll leave you with one question: Will Nutt's Dick be able to stand up to Spurrier's Cocks? :D

Its about time! Well will see and although I didn't hear much about Dick, from what I have heard recently I am glad that Nutt is making the move. I have said it many times and I will say it again, where is Barthel? Its hard to imagine when he hasn't seen a snap yet. Before the start of the year there was some talk of Barthel and how he was making improvement.

Been away from the game too long, Dick was a Texas stud QB in High School!

I must have mis-read his stats in HS. Seems like he completed 53% or something like that?? That's hardly "stud" material. However, Dick may have developed some under Nutt.

Little was known about Dick prior to last summer because he did not start the previous year. He made the most of his time as a junior rushing for 116 yards and 3 touchdowns and passing for 714 yards, 8 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 48-of-81 passing (59.3 percent) and passing for 1,942 yards, 14 touchdowns and 7 interceptions on 133-of-248 passing (53.6 percent and a 132.4 passer rating). Arkansas offered Dick soon after a slew of coaches were in town to watch an Allen spring scrimmage in May. Arkansas was there to watch Marcus Shavers, another Arkansas commit, but Dick was so impressive that he earned one too. Throughout summer camps and 7-on-7 tournaments, Dick’s stock soared. Rivals.com rates him the No. 13 dual-threat quarterback in America, the No. 2 overall quarterback prospect in Texas and the No. 70 overall recruit in the state. He took an official visit to Arkansas on the Jan. 21 weekend.
Looks like he came on pretty good in summer camps. I hope he's everything ya'll expect and want him to be and that he almost wins this Sat. :D

I don't know what his HS stats were and I really don't care. Word is he's had a great week of practice. But if he can hand off and limit his turnovers to two per game, he's already as good as Robert Johnson. Even if this kid isn't any good, it's more than likely gonna be an upgrade. I just say give it to DMAC and Felix and keep that ball in our hands.

All I expect him to be is Mitch Mustain's backup in the future, but it would definitely be nice if he could help us. I really think it's going to help us, simply b/c Rojo's play has been so terrible. It's got to help us. But our bread and butter this year - and probably the next and the next and the next - is the run, and that's what we need to be doing. Plus, against a Spurrier-coached team, you don't want the ball in their hands. How do you keep your offense on the field? Run. That's what we need to do. But it'd be nice to actually complete a pass over 20 yards or so:)

Sounds like this new QB throws a nice pass. I respect Coach Nutt alot, and know that this kid must be good and must be able to positively impact your team, or else Nutt would never pull off his red-shirt. All jokes aside, and I've said it in other threads, Arkansas is very dangerous and, no way can they be viewed by their record. Personally, I'd rather be playing Florida this week. No injuries, good game.

Appreciate the kind words there man. I'm not sure Dick's ever gonna be a good QB like the one ya'll got, but we were in such dire needs that we had to do something. Johnson just can't hit his WRs and can't get the ball in the endzone once we get insde the 15. He just wasn't improving. Mortensen is awful and has no business on a D-1 roster. How he got 6 schollies from SEC schools, I'll never know. So Dick is our other option. I really think he'll be OK if he just doesn't turn it over.

Sorry it took me so long but here is what I see. 2 freshmen RB's, I think ya'll call 'em Tailbacks, that are "off the chain." A freshman QB that is absolutely going to cause trouble for the SEC as he gains experience. I heard his interview after the game....a very classy guy for his youth. It's early, but his head and talent are in the right place at this point to be your best in recent memory. Great defense and excellent special teams. I've got Hawg friends, and I hate that ya'll had to lose when you should have won. Make no mistake, I wanted us to win regardless, but it's just seems tougher to lose a game that you know you had in the bag. Heard alot of grumbling from Hawgs about Nutt. They may be right, but the way I see it, he has a stable full of studs (that he recruited) and there is NO FRICKIN' WAY ya'll are singing the blues next year this time. Be patient. I just wish we didn't play ya'll every year!!! BUT, I am glad that at least we have you at home next year!
