As bad as I hate to admit it I expect to see
USC vs Texas in the rose bowl. We gotta do something about free pass championships. :(
Alabama vs Va Tech in Sugar - If this happens it should be the Bowl game of the year.
UCLA vs Florida St. in Fiesta - yawn
Georgia vs Penn St. in orange - Another possible gold matchup.
If there are Bowl invitation rules being broken please arrange the bowls as needed but I think all are pretty clear with my selections.

UGA will be in one of the BCS bowls after they win the SECG. Although the SECG will be better than the bowl. UGA vs. Bama.

At this point, they ARE undefeated...so it is hardly a "free pass." Texas has played all if its games for the year, so they will probably be there. USC still has a road game at Cal and a cross-town game against UCLA...they may not be there.
Alabama vs Va Tech in Sugar - If this happens it should be the Bowl game of the year.
You seem to be assuming that LSU, AUB, and a possible Eastern Division opponent will have nothing to say about this....let alone Miami vs. VaTech, one of whom will have to play FSU in the ACC championship game.
UCLA vs Florida St. in Fiesta - yawn
See both notes above
Georgia vs Penn St. in orange - Another possible gold matchup.
If you have Bama in the Sugar, that presumes that they will have beaten UGA in the SEC championship. I doubt that the Orange bowl will take a two loss UGA team when ND is probably going to be sitting there with two losses as well.
If there are Bowl invitation rules being broken please arrange the bowls as needed but I think all are pretty clear with my selections.

Thanks for breaking me in right then uscrebel
As for your comments on my original post, I had a big long explaination reply pointing out that at least one bowl may have to select a 2 loss team if they are going to invite a top 10 team. I also thought I would point out that Auburn and LSU can in no way expect to beat Alabama, LSU has shown they just don't show up in the 2nd half and Auburn has not played a quality team all year. But I decided that the best thing to do is just say Put up or shut up, if you know so much about football show me instead of picking apart my posts. Where are your bowl predictions? post them and we will see who is right.
Besides I have to know more about football, I am not a Ole Miss fan.

From TidePride:

So you are going to sit there with a straight face and say that you think Texas deserves to be number 1 or number 2 based on the opponents they have played this year. How far can a victory over Ohio St be stretched? I have no problem with USC being in the top 2.
So it is not ok to have faith in my team? Yes there is a chance they will not win out I admit that freely. But the same nay sayers were spouting the same crap you are saying here before both Florida and Tennessee. I believe Va Tech will win out as well and I think the BCS top 4 will not change, that is my PREDICTION
UCLA vs Florida St. in Fiesta - yawn
See both notes above
go to dictionary.com (http://www.dictonary.com) and look up prediction.
Georgia vs Penn St. in orange - Another possible gold matchup.

Why is it so strange they will pick the number 11 team over the number 14 team? (that is if rankings hold)
If there are Bowl invitation rules being broken please arrange the bowls as needed but I think all are pretty clear with my selections.
Do you actually watch football or did you buy a copy of "Bama Homerism for Dummies."
yeah it's easy to point out what you think is wrong without stating what you think will happen.
I know I am new here but you will find that if I predict something and I am wrong I have no problem admitting to it. Also if someone says something I think is stupid I will back up my reply with my own opinion.

You are right about somethings there creole head. LSwho will bring a level of undisiplined football that has not been seen @ BDS in many moons. The tigers will also bring to BDS the most laughable coaching staff this side of Pittsburgh. Just committ 5 turnovers and 100 + yards in penalties(see North Texas stats) and see what happens to all that talent. RTR

Can you say "Sand Mountain."
On a recent swing through Alabama, I drove from Oxford to Montgomery. I entered Alabama on Hiway 78. After driving for sometime, I arrived at the lovely little town of Jasper and upon leaving town, I noticed that I was driving on the "George Lindsey Parkway." It appears Mr. Lindsey is one of Jasper's native sons.
I drove on southward to Birmingham, choosing to take a scenic drive on Hiway 280 instead of the monotonous Interstate 65. A few dozen miles south, I noticed that I was driving on the "Jim Nabors Parkway" as I headed into the sleepy little hamlet of Sylacauga, home to Mr. Nabors.
Thus I found that one arrived at the largest city in Alabama on the Goober Pyle Hiway and left it on the Gomer Pyle Hiway.
If you still think that Mississippi is the locus of yokel activity, take a drive through your own state.

Reb, you need to get the story on such comical hamlets as Slapout, Alabama. Seemed it received its name from the general store; when people would come in and say, "Gimme some Garret's Snuff." The proprietor's prompt retort was, "We're slapout of that snuff." And on and on... you get the drift.
