Those aren't as bad as the uniforms that VT wore tonight. I turned the Virginia Tech/Boston College game on, saw the VT uniforms, and couldn't believe how ugly they were. Those VT uniforms are probably the ugliest uniforms I've ever seen on a football field.

I'll believe it when I see it (UF's uniforms). Ridiculous.

I'm going to assume most schools are the same, but the head coach usually has the call on the uniforms. The only reason Oregon has whacked out jerseys all the time is that they are the testing grounds for Nike's stuff since Autzen is just down the road from the Nike HQ.

That UF jersey isn't a joke? They're actually going to wear those not-even-funny-they're-so-fugly things in a game? Or anywhere in public??
GN man...you need to start a email campaign to stop this dood. That pic alone is embarrassing to look at! :D :D  :D :D It's FOOTBALL, not some middle-tier sporting goods store trying to compete with Finish Line. VTech, Oregon (& UF if they do wear these fugly things) should be ashamed...there are legendary coaches rolling over in their graves everywhere because of this.
What's next? Blue & orange glitter for the shoes so they look better on TV? I can see it now..the WLOCP goes down as one of the greatest college football games ever played, won on a Stanford/Cal type kickoff return with no time left or a Flutie-esque throw to the end zone as time expires, and in the press conference, the first reporter chosen will stand up and ask, "WTF is the story with those fugly uniforms?!"

That UF jersey looks like something a damn drug dealer or pimp would wear here in columbia, I'm sick of all this thuggery and homeboy crap on the field, we need a stop to this nonsense....

Gainesville, FL
As part of a one-time promotional agreement with Nike, the University of Florida football team will wear a special game jersey for its game against Georgia on Saturday in Jacksonville. Florida is one of four schools that Nike approached nationally to help promote the Nike Pro "Tri-bolt" base performance layer, which will be worn under the shoulder pads.
"We are excited to be one of four schools nationally participating in this promotional effort with our partner Nike," said athletics director Jeremy Foley.
The game jersey on Saturday will have one orange sleeve on the uniform top instead of both being the traditional blue. In addition, the jersey will be lighter than usual and provide added ventilation for the Gator players. The jersey will be worn over the Nike Pro "Tri-bolt" first layer top.
Florida will be meeting the Bulldogs for the 83rd time and the contest will be carried nationally by CBS Sports beginning at 3:30 p.m.

I guess I should change my pick now. These new uni's will give the gators just enough advantage to win the game!
Is 50 cent gonna play QB?

The worst part is, Fla fans are actually saying they like them!? At least the ones on GatorBait...
FWIW the jersey pictured above is slightly different, I think the ones they will actually wear are tight like UGA's, not with the big loose sleeves. But it's still the same horrible color combo with the bionic arm.

Actually, I think it is less an urban fashion statement an more likely a joke being perpatrated by the 9 year-old kids Nike employs in Indonesia and Bangladesh.

Those uniforms are absolutely horrible. I hope the Gators change their minds and decide not to wear them. I'm definitely not going to buy one of those at the mall, not even if it was on the clearance rack (where it'll end up anyway). I'm sure most other people feel the same. I'm sure schools and taxpayers alike appreciate Nike supplying schools with free sporting equipment and clothing, but nothing justifies these horrid uniform designs. Nike seems to invent ways to ruin sports and sports uniforms.
