While I do not expect TTU to surprise the Longhorns, I hope they do. This has more to do with scrambling the picture for the BCS than what my Trojans may or may not do down the stretch.
I am not a play-off advocate or a proponent of the +1 system, but I think that the BCS thing sucks. Texas losing would change the landscape enough that the media would begin to think about what it has foisted on us.
After the season, I will be more than willing to engage in a lengthy discourse about the reasons D1A football with its current conference configuration should not put together a playoff and why it is different from D1AA and D2. My only smack at this point is that I think that perhaps as many as 30 of the current D1A teams should be demoted to D1AA...and in some cases D2.
