All we know is it isn't QB. That's the first thing he said.

I'm sure it's TB. Great move IMO. Syvelle is so elusive. He could provide that spark that we need. I love how he says that teams like Auburn, Bama, and UGA don't make stupid penalties. He's right. We need to emulate sucessful teams...

I think SN will be in the Reggie Bush Role. He will become what we wanted Cory Boyd to be this year.

Can't hurt the running game, that's for sure.

I think SN will be in the Reggie Bush Role. He will become what we wanted Cory Boyd to be this year.
Let's compare...
REGGIE BUSH - Southern Cal
6' 0" 200 Pounds
4.41 40-Yard Dash
SYVELLE NEWTON - South Carolina
6' 0" 214 Pounds
Pretty-Damn-Fast...not sure if 4.4 but certainly fast enough
You can throw out the "does he have the size" questions cuz Syvelle is bigger by numbers than the Heisman Trophy candidate. If I remember right, Boyd is about the same size as these two, as well, isn't he?
I'm not ready to start comparing SN to Bush but my first thought was "is he big enough" and if Bush is big enough, so is Newton. Good move, anything to spark our running game.

He's (as you say) heavier than Bush, and we know he is elusive; so much so, that as a senior in high school (as a dual threat QB, mind you), he was the fourth leading rusher in the state behind the state's top three running backs. Just imagine if he hadn't had to spend all that extra time throwing..... :D

Most importantly, he is a baller. This kid will make plays no matter where we put him. He could punt successfully if given the shot.
