Not to much talk about what or if Auburn can do anything the rest of the season. I caught a little bit from Mark May on ESPN saying that we could suprise a couple teams because of out backfield getting better every week. With a week off to heal some bumps and bruises what do you guys think Auburn can pull of from here on out?

@ Arkansas
@ LSU
Ole Miss
@ Kentucky
@ Georgia
@ Bama

I think that in the fianl games if the O line keeps doing what has been doing. Getting better every week. Plus with the D being strong as well we could actually go 5-1 in the last 6 games. Am I over confident or is it the little brown mushrooms I found in the backyard last night. Either way I think that we might be a little under radar to a couple teams...... WAREAGLE

If UGa is undefeated when Aub comes to Athens I dont think you will win, other than that I give you a 70% chance at beating UGA for the second straight year.

UGA, LSU, and Bama are definitely the key games for you guys. I think you'll win at least LSU out of these games.

But watch out for those Hogs. If the D isn't "in the game", they've got some guys that can run.

I think that you will finish the season as the best 7-4 team in the country. I just don't think that many big road games will be good for you, particularly since every team you face will have a shot at the SEC CG.

If any of them were at home, I'd give you more, but this is perhaps the toughest second half schedule in the country.

That depends....did you eat them?

You'll beat Arky, Ole Miss, KY...and maybe LSU (or possibly AL, since they are your rival): you'll win four more.

Sorry about that got a little typing happy the Iron Bowl is at Auburn this year. I have to agree I think that he have one of the toughest second halves in all the land. At 7-4 what bowl would that put us around?

W - @ Arkansas - They have a great running game and Auburn's front 7 on defense aren't real big so I think UA will have some success running the ball. Auburn is deep on defense though so I think they should hold up well. UA's defense is pretty weak this year. I don't think they will be able to stop the Tigers balanced offensive attack. Auburn wins +10

w - @ LSU - This should be a great game. We really won't know for sure how much this offense has improved until they face off against LSU. It really depends on which LSU team shows up and how many quarters they play well. The LSU defense has looked dominating at times and Auburn hasn't faced a really good defense since GT. If LSU can rattle Cox's cage and keep pressure on him all night, this one could be a "barn" burner. Auburn's line play and pass protection have been extremely good as of late, especially with the addition of Lester & Irons in the backfield. Cox hasn't thrown an interception or fumbled the ball since the first game. If Cox has any time at all to throw, he should rack up big yardage through the air. I really like how our receivers matchup in this game. Hopefully he'll keep his head on straight and they will come out of there with a win. Auburn wins +3

W - Ole Miss <yawn> Auburn wins +21

W - @ Kentucky - Auburn wins +21

L - @ Georgia - Auburn has the speed at LB to stay with thier tight ends but they just have too many weapons on offense and a really solid defense. Georgia will be coming off a huge game in Jacksonville though so Auburn might have a chance to pull this one off. Too many potential injuries ahead to say just how much of a chance they have to beat the dogs. My guess now would be UGA +7

? - Bama - The Tide looks pretty good so far. Maybe we'll finally get another classic back & forth, down to the wire Iron Bowl this year. I'd like to see a close game because this matchup hasn't generated much national appeal since Bama has been on probation. Again, potential injuries at key positions may lurk ahead so who knows. Having a healthy senior quarterback in this game could be huge. Auburn has more depth but they will probablly be coming off a tough loss @UGA. If the offensive line can make some holes in the Bama D & half-way protect #12, this should be a great one. Too close to call at this point.

The LSU game will once again be the turning point. If Auburn can beat LSU, they could win out. Georgia and Bama will be really tough but all are winnable with some luck. They could just as easily go 7-4 with some key injuries and bad breaks.

It sucks that we've had to wait until the second half of the season to see how they stack up. The experience Auburn's young backfield has gained in the past 4 games could be just enough for them to keep it very interesting.

Sorry about that got a little typing happy the Iron Bowl is at Auburn this year. I have to agree I think that he have one of the toughest second halves in all the land. At 7-4 what bowl would that put us around?

Sugar goes to SEC #1, but if SEC#1 goes to the Rose Bowl, then Sugar gets to chose. Assume it will not happen. #1 goes Sugar

Capitol One goes to SEC #2.

Outback goes to SEC #3.

Peach goes to SEC #4

I figure that UGA, BAMA, and LSU will be in the 1,2,3 slots in some order. (Probably Bama, UGA, LSU) that means that they will take those first three bowls.

After that, the bowl tie-ins are not related to conference rank and I see only UTK, UFL, and AUB as having legit shots at bowl games. The remaining bowls are....

Independence vs a Big 12 team
Houston vs a Big 12 team
Music City vs a Big 10 team

I think don't think UTK and UFL are going to lose 4 games, so one of them will get the Peach Bowl. I would bet that Auburn gets the Music City Bowl because it is relatively close.

If you go 8-3 (which is possible), you get the Peach. If you manage to scratch out 9-2 it will be the Outback.

okay....junior reminded me about the Cotton Bowl, so maybe Auburn goes there instead of Nashville. :D
