STEALING THE SIGNS:
After Saturday's victory over Florida, several Alabama defensive players said they knew what plays were coming from the UF offense because they knew the Gators' signals.
"We're college students. You can't just keep calling the same signals over and over again," Tide linebacker DeMeco Ryans said.
Meyer said he was aware of what the Tide defenders said after the game.
"I did read that somewhere," Meyer said. "That's something we're going to look into."

And? That's why teams who use hand signals have multiple signals for each play, at least the plays that are called often. As he said, you can't just keep calling the same signals over and over again. You have to mix them up, even if calling the same play multiple times.
I don't see how it's pathetic at all. That's something that is just plain common sense, which is again why teams have more than one signal for a play. No different than a baseball pitcher watching a manager signal in to a batter.

I had actually read about this after the game last week, but decided not to comment on it at the time. I guess Kines really had them prepared. It is easier to stop somthing if you know where to start. If that was the case shame on UF and thanks for the tip Tide.

There is now some speculation that the stolen signs were Leak's audibles.....that he would use the same audibles during the game, and the bama players were reading them.
