As expected the Braves are losing a post season game. But who cares we have our 14th division title to hang on the ledge in the outfield.

I'm a Cardinal fan , but I gotta tip my hat to Bobby Cox and the Braves.

They caught a couple of bad breaks today or they would be playing a 5th game vs. the Astros.

I know the Braves catch a lot of grief for losing in the post season , but that has nothing to do with this team. This wasn't a team loaded with Glavine , Maddux and Smoltz. All that is left from that great trio is Smoltz and he did a great job of coming back from the pen after 5 years.

This Braves team was filled with youth and wasn't even expected to win their division. It might be a sad ending for their fans , but they have to be proud of what this young team accomplished.

One thing for sure , the Braves have got it figured out how to compete every year and clearly have the best minor league system of all the big league teams.

I doubt if any team has ever had as many rookies get as much playing time as the Braves did this year , much less has any ever won as many games or a division title with this many first year players.

As a Cardinal fan and a fan of baseball in general , I tip my cap to the Braves and to Bobby Cox. They represent Atlanta very well and are just pure winners. I dread to see how good they will be in the coming years with all the great young talent that they have.

Solid season Brave fans , DO NOT hang your head , be proud of this team.

I'm surprised they got as far as they did considering they had no bullpen. Luv my Braves but the post season let-down is getting old. This year was fun because of the rookies but Schuholtz and Cox have got to plug that hole in the bullpen this offseason.

But there is a lot of credit still to be given to Cox and Mazzone......hmmmmmm that brings my thoughts to......

As well as Mazzone has handled the Braves pitching staff for YEARS.....Why hasn't another team given him a big offer to be a manager???? As good as he is as a pitching coach , he could be very successful as a manager. Pitching is more than half the battle and he obviosly knows how to handle the pitching.

No doubt. Cox is the MAN. 14 straight is remarkable. I'd trade half of them for a few more WS titles though.

What a game! Yeah Cox is the man, you can't find consistency portrayed better than Cox does.

I'll be glad when the Braves actually get some players that can get them past NLDS or just fire B. Cox.
