What do yall think about the awesome race between the Yankees and the Redsox. I think this is great for baseball especially, since the steriod hearings. May be they will take the attention off of them. This weekend will be the most important weekend. Yankees are 1 game up on the Redsox in the East, and Sox and the Indians are tied in the Wildcard. What are yall's prediction for the AL East and AL Wildcard?

Hopefully my Yanks pull away and win the Division!!!

I'm sick of the Yankees, no one likes an all star team. I will admit being a Brave fan, maybe they won't choke in the playoffs again and those 14 straight division titles will pay off

I'm a Pittsburgh fan (don't ask me...started with the 1979 Super Bowl) and the left side of the New York Yankee infield makes $6,719,000 more than the Pirates' entire roster.

The Yankees' 3rd baseman makes just under what the entire Tampa Bay Devil Rays TEAM makes.

There's a reason the NFL, NASCAR & college athletics flew past baseball in terms of popularity long ago. It's a little detail called a level playing field; some call it "fair". Whatever you call it, until they get something in place where every team has at least somewhat an equal chance at signing the best players, MLB is going to continue to wither on the vine.

We should make this a poll for all who care enough about baseball to voice their opinion...I'd bet more people are sick of seeing the big market teams (NY, BOS, ATL, etc) in the race for playoffs every single year than are not.

Major League Baseball needs an enema & that would start with booting Donald Fehr and that spineless nerd-turned-success-story Bud Selig out of the game forever just before instituting a hard salary cap.
