Beedsie,
I will readily admit to jumping on the "stupid" bandwagon, but my sources are credible so I am confident that accusations about his intellect...or lack of...are accurate.
As to why I am on him, he has never seemed to live up to his promise. His last three possessions ended in three turnovers in a row. Our defense was actually doing reasonably well at the time. The defense played uphill all night long because Lane appeared to be playing for the Cowboys, turning the ball over three times in a row. The defense held Wyoming to a FG after Lane gave it to them on our 18. The interception at our 32 ended in a turnover on downs. The interception at Midfield resulted in a punt. All of this occurred in the first seven minutes of the third period. It is no wonder that they finally scored after we made three big stops. Which was followed by a punt of -8 yards. Putting Wyoming on the Ole Miss 28. After that, they stopped them the rest of the night.
Robert Lane was the best defensive player that Wyoming had.
I acutally believe that Spurlock with a broken finger is better than Lane.
From my perspective, the defense continues to play well except in deep cover, but they spend far too much time on the field.

I know a good bit of the Ole Miss baseball team and thus I have met him through him. He's just not the brightest light bulb in the box, sharpest crayon in the box, brightest star in the sky, <insert any other analogy here>.
