Has anyone heard anything else on how long we will be without Blake? I say that we are in trouble without him.

Doubtful for Tigers next week. Same could be said for our chances without him.
Coach says he'd rather not use Thompson as Hef's backup. Cade weighs about 175 lbs and would get killed by SEC defenders right now. No sense in getting a potentially good player messed up for nothing.

Without Mitchell, it's going to be a long year, 'til "next year." Unless Heffner has something he hasn't shown yet.

I'm surprised they even listed it as doubtful....that's encouraging by itself with a high ankle sprain. I've heard the pain is similar to a bad ankle sprain but the pain shoots up your whole lower leg when you go to put pressure on it.

I truly hope we don't resort to a QB sneak/QB option/safe pass 3 yards downfield/QB sneak offense just because Heffner isn't as accurate as Mitchell. Regardless, our offensive line needs to come together, get a collective chip on their shoulder and play angry for a game or three.

If pain is any indication I'm worried. I was at the game. When he went down he was rolling around in a lot of pain. I was very happy to hear nothing's seriously hurt. Because just seeing him I thought he was done for the season. If it's only a couple of games that a lot better than the season.
As for Heffner. He didn't look bad against Troy. Granted it was Troy. I will say I'd rather have Mitchell, but Heffner may help our running game. It's an extra way to run. I don't think the Ol' Ball Coach will have half our plays QB sneaks. ;)

I hear them saying doubtful for this week, i do not think that there is any chance of him playing, i would assume that the staff will not release that though just to make Auburn prepare for Blake also. I also agree that we are in trouble without him.

He has a high ankle sprain. Doubtful for this week. I would not play him if it were me. I would hate to lose him for the year over one game.

It's official. Blake will sit out at least one week. Spurrier said with an OL like ours, it's just too risky to put him in there right now.

Odd...Spurrier had no qualms whatsoever putting a pain-wracked Patrick Ramsey out on the field to get his arse kicked every week in Washington. Their line was worse than ours is now, respective of the talent level.

I still don't think someone can suffer a high ankle sprain and think about playing the very next week...if they could, I think there has to be a missed diagnosis somewhere.
