Yeah, I just saw that a little while ago. Still early in the game, but the Ducks are looking pretty good. They'll definitely keep it a game with USC.

Should've been 17-0. That call inside the 10 was a joke....

Is the game on TV?

I think it's just on GamePlan. Probably on local stations for areas around USC and Oregon.

Hmmm? I notice that this thread played out about 6:30. That, as I recall, was about the time that USC score their second touchdown to go ahead for good.

I sure did have my hopes up watching the bottom of the screen for scores during the Georgia game. Too bad the ducks couldn't pull one over on the Trojans. Man, I was so hoping for an upset!

Since my Rebels appear to be headed for as bad a season as last year, this thread seems to be the best place for this post.

After seeing this game in which Alabama played OK (not great, but OK) and after watching USC spot Oregon 13 points, does anyone have anything decent to say about the Trojans?

Not only has the defense been a question mark for most people, last night three starters were out and replaced with two redshirt freshmen and one true freshman.

Coming into the game against USC, Oregon was scoring 40 points a game, with a high octane offense that was averaging 40 points per game and rolling up 503 yards of total offense with 368 of that through the air. Last night, they scored 13 points and amassed 262 total yards, with only 197 passing. Leinhart started out the day 4 for 11 (36%), but managed to finish 23 for 39 (59%).

As I said, its hard watching the Rebels struggle, but it helps a little to watch the Trojans at the end of the football day. My only regret is that Reggie, Matt, and LenDale all leave this year.

You think Bush and Lendale are leaving early? If memory serves, they are only juniors. I could see Bush leaving, but I think Lendale will stick around for his senior year.

They don't leak and seldom tear.

That's hilarious! I can't give you rep, 'cos I have to spread it around. I think I owe you two hits now.

Ironically, don't leak and seldom tear would also describe USC's O-Line

After yesterday, I think USC has a good chance to make it to the NC again this year. Before the season, I figured they'd lose one or possibly two games... with one being to Oregon. But I see now that they're still just as good of a team as last year, if not a little better with the audibles at the line Leinart is calling this time around.

But, I will say that I think VaTech has a good chance of making it to the NC and spoiling USC's possible three-peat. Now THAT would be one heck of a game to watch. :)

I said the same thing in an earlier post in this thread; I deleted it in lieu of another idea I came up with instead.

We'll see how it plays out. Clearly, Leinhart and Bush are first round selections and I think if LenDale continues to get 100 yards and 2 TDs per game he could be a first rounder as well.

We have Desmond Reed who is already getting significant playing time and has become the #1 kick returner in the country...partly because of Reggie. The Trojans now line up Des at the 10 and Reggie at the 5. Who would you want to kick to?

Add to that the probable commitments of Gable and Glass (#6 & #26 RB's in the country) and you find a very crowded backfield.

So, yeah I think LenDale will go along with the other two...unless the NCAA passes that fifth year of eligibility rule.

Actually it was a tongue-in-cheek point about Leinhart staying around for a fifth year...not lendale

If they played today...VaTech would win...easily.

I agree with that. Leinart makes great decisions, but he can only dream of doing some of the things with his feet that Vick is able to do. With their teams being pretty much equal in many aspects (at this point anyhow), the dual-threat QB definitely gives VaTech the advantage there.

I am also more impressed with what VaTech has done than what Texas has done. VaTech should be #2. After Mack Brown pulls his usual choke job at some point during the season, they will get the second slot.
