National Championship Hopes in Auburn

There are high hopes in Auburn that this year will be the year for another National Championship. Of course the hopes belong to the Western Kentucky team and fans. They have actually won a National Championship in football and are going for another. Go Hilltoppers!

Go check the NCAA records. 17 different years the Tide has been awarded a National Championship by some respectable polling service (you can argue about respectable..but we all know they were more respectable than "The People's National Champs" and the "Eufala Tribune").

With that said, the Tide doesn't claim 5 of them to keep people, like yourself, from saying that "Bama doesn't have XX number of national championships." (XX being DOUBLE DIGIT).

However, your jealousy shines through even that so that you must belittle the Tide with false accusations and claims to make your own team feel like it matters.

Any program in the SEC would give an arm and a leg to have "12 National Championships and 21 SEC Titles".

Any program in the league would give an arm and leg to say they have the most bowl appearances and most bowl victories of any school in the country.

Any team in the league would give an arm and a leg to have over 750 Wins.

There is no denying that. If you don't want for your program to have all of those accomplishments then what the hell are hoping for? That your team just rolls around in mediocrity for another 100 years?
