Got to be Auburn University
USC, UT, Bama, Neb & UF have had thier fair share of good NFL backs but overall I'd have to say that Auburn has turned out the most NFL stars
They currently have 8:
Carnell Williams RB - Tampa
Ronnie Brown RB - Miami
Rudi Johnson - Cincinnati
Steven Davis - Carolina
Heath Evans FB - Miami
Tony Richardson FB - Kansas City
Harold Morrow FB - Arizona
Fred Beasly FB - San Fran
Cadillac currently leads the NFL in rushing and Rudi Johnson isn't far behind.
Bucs coach Jon Gruden:
"Everybody I talked to said he's a hell of a back — 'Get him on your team somehow, some way,' " Gruden says. "I think he's proven to everybody what he's all about."

Stars is of course debatable starting with Evans and going down, but the top four are really good. Rudi would have been better, and wealthier, if he didn't bolt following his junior season.

Stars as in starters and yeah I wish Rudi would have stayed another year but he had family issues and needed cash in a hurry.
Would have been sweet if Brandon Jacobs could have got some more playing time at Auburn also but there weren't enough carrries to go around for him last year. Jacobs is a Mack Truck. I think he's going to be a force for the Giants.
Kenny Irons along with Brad Lester and Carl Stewart have moved up the depth chart since the season began. These three had almost 0 playing time coming into the season but are quickly getting up to speed. Tre Smith on the other hand seems to have lost the elusiveness he showed as a freshman. He had a couple good runs last week but overall has been unimpressive and has fallen down the depth chart.
The coaches really like Irons and Lester and stated this week that they want to focus on 2 RB's now instead of spreading it around so much. Irons is a Cadillac style runner and Lester is more in the mold of Joe Cribbs or Warric Dunn. Smaller but very quick and elusive.

Not to sure if anyone agrees but at this point I got to go with Lester then Irons. Lester seems to be seeing the field a lot better than Irons right now. Tre we will not get into at this moment in time. Something is not clicking right with him, if it is the injury or something else not really sure but you can tell it during game time.

I have been a little surprised that Cadillac is doing better in the pros than Ronnie Brown. Being the more bulldozing type, I thought Ronnie would be better, but Cadillac is turning out to be amazing. I guess bulldozing is a lot harder in the pros than in college.

Yeah RB was caught up in that hold-out waiting game during pre-season. When Saban was asked if RB was ready to play he said no not really but he will be soon. They are also playing against some really good run defenses early in the year. Should be interesting to see what happens when RW comes back. If they are smart and use them both, they will undoubtedly have the best running backfield in the league. No way I think they will hold on to both of them next season though. That would be too much salary for one position.

I was thinking that maybe Saban sees RB as his future running back and that he is trying to rehabilitate RW long enough to trade him for someone very valuable or for a draft choice.

It seems like Saban is using more RB's than Gruden. There's denying, though, that Caddy has been terrific in his first 2 games.
Lester looks much better on the field than Irons. I also heard that Irons can't block.

Can't block or WON"T block?

He didn't have the blocking scheme down for the first game. That's why he wasn't in there much against blitz happy Georgia Tech. The coaches said he has worked hard on it the past two weeks and now knows his assignments.
