These benched players are going to respond the week of Auburn after having their spoiled a$$es buffing pine this week? Cudos to SOS. These guys got away with lackluster play over and over with Lou. Wonder how they feel right now?

Would be awfully embarrassing to get shown up by a bunch of true freshmen wouldn't it? :D

I would hope that they would see the light, however, given some of the character issues as well, I think some may not even realize what has happened  And should they lose, it will be oh so easy to say that they lost because they spent the game pulling pine from their cheeks

From a Tiger view point, if you guys do not mind. I think that SC will come down to the plains with a chip on their sholders. Darth Visor will see to that one I am sure of it. He owes TT a little pay back from a couple years ago too. Though I think that we should win SC will make one heck of a game out of it.

Although the confidence is much appreciated, this team has not done one thing to convince me of a narrow margin of victory. AU dominates HANDS DOWN. Give the ball to Lester and Irons, run it up the gut, and you win.

Demetris,
Here's the deal. If EagleFan tells you what he really feels (That Auburn is going to hang 30+ on Carolina) he paints himself into a corner.
If Carolina plays a good game, either winning or keeping it very close, he has to come back on Sunday morning and admit that USC is better than he thought, or (HORRORS!) Auburn is worse than he thought.
If Carolina does not play a good game, then he has the luxury to come on a tell how valiantly his TigerEaglePlainsman team fought. He also gets to throw in some jabs about how Carolina should have won with all their talent and they just gave up or the SOS was outcoached by Tubbie.
Personally, I hope you kick Auburn butt.
Oh year, EagleFan, any chance you could find a signature that doesn't take up two-thirds of my screen....maybe slightly smalled graphics...thanks dude.

Which players were benched?
Sure this is in one of the other posts in this forum. Can somebody repost the names/positions here?

thanks neesey...i guess.
Since this topic has bled over, I'll relist em here:
1. Carlos Thomas and Tremaine Tyler start at CB, replacing Bennett and Joseph.
2. Marvin Sapp to start at LB.
3. Dakota Walker and Nathan Pepper have had redshirts pulled, and will compete for starting jobs this week.
4. Charles Silas and Jordin Lindsey start at DE, a position that has resulted in 0 sacks through 3 games. They replace Coley and Josh Johnson.
5. James Thompson starts at OG, and Jamon Meredith starts at OT.
6. Sidney Rice starts at WR, while Newton is moved to the slot receiver.
Being that they are playing Troy, these guys probablly wouldn't have played the whole game this week anyhow.
Good move by Spurrier I think. They should be fresh and have a major mad on by Oct 1. Also getting some much needed experience for the backups against the lowly men of Troy.

Spurrier will let these guys fight for a starting position for the rest of the year. Said when he pulled their redshirts he would not do that so they could mop up some games or chase kickoffs around. He plans to play these guys, and play em a lot. Their is still some uncertainty I believe on who starts on the offensive line. From players I have seen interviewed, SOS has gotten this teams attention loud and clear with these moves. Gonna be great for the team.

It will be interesting to see how this team gels and changes by the year's end. Since our talent level is not near the bottom, nationally, neither should be our level of play.
