I will start this out by saying I don't think we will go 3-8, but if don't get better there is a chance it will happen.
If we play like we did this Saturday for the rest of the season we will lose every remaining game this year, but Kentucky and Troy. Vandy is 3-0 and can run the ball. That is not good for us. If we continue to play like we did Saturday the Hogs will kill us. If we continue to play like we did this Saturday Tenn., Fl. Auburn, and Clemson will make us look like we belong on a high field.
I am a Gamecock through and through, but that was one of the worst games I've seen us play. And unfortunately that's saying a lot.
Now that I've said all this. We will not continue to play like we did this Saturday. We are not that bad of a team. We have talent. And the Ol' Ball Coach will make us a better team. From top to bottom we are a better team than Vandy and the Hogs this year. I still also think we will win a least one game we're not suppose to. I still expect a 6-5 season and a bowl.
Am I right or just blowing smoke?

Beeds please dont quote Norman Chad! Youre right GCFAN, Im sick and tired of these fair weather-bandwagon fans who think if we play that way one game we'll lose 8 games. People that will be the worst game we will play all year we quit in the third quarter. Spurrier will circle the wagons and I guarntee we wont lose by more than 15 all year! Yeah I said it big whoop wanna fight about it!!!!!!!-Family Guy

That means I agree. You don't ever read Norman Chad's "couch slouch" columns in the paper?

I'm no fair-weather fan. I don't know why some of you are so prone to accept mediocrity. This is not a good football team. Your not a bad fan if you think so. We play in the toughest conference in the country and are averaging like 40 yards rushing while giving up over 200 yards on the ground. Our best offensive weapon left for the NFL. Our two best pass rusher's are no longer on the team (Thompson and Gause). Our top two backs were lost to disciplinary problems (Summers and Boyd). We lost an outstanding LB to graduation (Marcus Lawrence). We lost an outstanding safety in Rod Wilson. Losing Woody Telfort (even though he's a thug) has greatly affected the o-line. John Strickland was an awesome center and he's gone. Quit blowing sunshine up my ass because I'm tired of it. We'll be good, but give it time. Obviously I hope I'm wrong but something tells me I'm not....
End rant.

I blame Thompson alot more than Nix. Nix should be running the show. Also, Nix is an outstanding recruiter and Thompson is not. Fire or demote Thompson, Let Nix take over full DC duties and it'll go a long way toward fixing the problem IMO.
I believe 4-7 is realistic, 3-8 may be stretching it, we should beat Troy, UK, and Ark, although, 3-8 isn't out of the question...
