After watching the film Sunday, Spurrier was weary with what he saw. He said he was tired of watching the same players make the same mistakes. He was tired of seeing players not giving 100%. He was tired of watching missed blocks and missed tackles over and over again, and he vowed Sunday changes would be made, both with personnel and schemes. He said the entire program would be re-evaluated this week. He even said some redshirt players may be called to duty. He asked the fans to stick behind them, and he promised to put 11 guys on the field next week who would give it 100% every game. Ko Simpson commented he thought Carolina was "flat", a statement which angered Spurrier. He said that he never used that word, and that was just a poor excuse for not giving your all and getting your tail kicked. He went on to say Carolina should have lost 50-0. He commented again on the stand up defense, which he again said is fooling noone. This is going to be an interesting week. He said he would announce in a couple of days what changes would be or have been made.

I want Tommy Beecher and OJ Murdoch in, Beecher is the real future, not so much Cade.....

The QB position is not up for grabs from what Spurrier said today. There may be some seniors benched however.

It will be if Blake doesn't get some fire in him. I don't know what has happened to Heffner. Seems like he has kind of rolled over since not being named the starter. And I, for one, would like to see what Thompson can do, and I believe that we will against Troy.

He was particular talking about the entire defensive line, Fred Bennent, Noah whitesides, The Guard position, Linebacker and quarterback. He said he is using the Alabama game to re-evaluate the entire program. This also includes the standup defense.

Actually he did not mention any positions or names. He said Blake is still he best he has and will be the starter.

Just throw the ball up to Sidney Rice or Svelle, and give the ball to Dacuss on Offense. And Blitz Blitz Blitz on D, our Secondary can handle one on one.

Just quoting from the Spartanburg paper today. "We'll make sure there are changes in who we play and how we play. Spurrier said he would decline to name players until the changes are made. But there figures to be plenty of candiates, ranging from the entire defensive front seven to other expected playmakers-such as junior reciever Noah Whitesides or junior cornerback Fred Bennett- whose contributions have been minimal. While several freshman(linebacker Dakota Walker, receiver OJ Murduck and defensive end Shea Mckeen) on the boderline of helping have been held out to try to keep their redshirt status, Spurrier said he isn't afraid to throw a newcomer innto the starting lineup. After Saturday nights game there may be plenty of tryouts this week."

can we please get someone to play offensive guard. i don't care who i the qb, if you do not have time to take a 5 step drop you can not be productive. Fran Pearson can not play, i weigh 160 and could block that well.
