That's a real AP picture taken off the ESPN game photo page.

I wish it was fake. Robert Lane's IQ is lower than his jersey number, and I'd rather see Taylor Mazzone (Noel's 18 year old son) take the field before that goober from Monroe ever sees grass again.

Is he the one who fell with less than a minute to go in the game? We were watching a game, but I can't remember who cause we were flipping through the different games and we only caught a piece of it. Can't remember who was playing though!

Yes. He was scrambling for a first down when he was tackled and spun around.

Is it broke or just dislocated? It looks like it just slipped out of the joint behind the 3rd metatarsal. If that's the case he could be back in a few weeks if it's taped up really good. Good that had to hurt!

I think the word at the moment is broken. I'll still take Spurlock with a broken finger in a splint before any of the other QBs.

Thats pretty bad because Ole Miss' offense sucks. If it wasnt for their defense they probably wouldnt have a win at this point.

Actually, that is sort of what most of us expected...though not quite this bad.

The running game is what's awful which is no fault of Spurlock's. Coupled with the fact that only Mario Hill can catch a pass, we've got problems. But Spurlock has been good in his first two games with what he's had to play with.

I'm not real crazy about Mazzones choice of RB's. Why is Mcswain not getting enought time. Don't understand that.

I didn't see yesterday's game, but looking at the stats a couple of things are apparent. They are trying for balance...32 passing plays to 30 running plays, but of the 30 running plays, Spurlock called his own number 9 times. Mico only got 6 touches but managed get 72 of the team's 124 yards. When they played Memphis, most of the RB calls were straight up the middle, when Spurlock rolled out of the pocket he almost never had an option runner behind or beside him. Also, Spurlock is so fast that he generally outruns his blocking.

Pittman has completely disappeared...but so has the interior blocking.

What bothers me the most is not that we lost, because the final score was close, even if the game was ugly. What bothers me is that all of their TD's were rushing TD's. With Cutler at the helm, who'da thunk that.

I'm not sure that Orgeron is going to be on the HotSeat, but Mazzone might be.

Losing Willis to a sprained knee and a broken hand hurt the run defense. Ole Miss had Vandy bottled up until Willis went down.
